No details yet we will have to wait until they draft the bill. The Dems will ram the rest through using the reconciliation process in the fall if no EV changes are in this bill.

We ordered on May 30. The EDD changes on a daily basis from anywhere from the end of June to the end of August. Our rep at the test drive said to ignore the EDD and we were looking at the end of Sept at the earliest unless one pops up under accelerated delivery that we want to take.

Personally I would install a 50 amp circuit. If you find your main breaker tripping you can always reduce the amps using the Tesla app, but if you schedule to charge at night while your sleeping and presumably not using your range/dryer etc you will be fine.

The new bill also includes an extra $2.5k for cars manufactured with union workers so that means GM and Ford will have an extra $2.5k advantage on Tesla. Hopefully that caps the amount Tesla is going to jack up prices as the bill progresses.

My wife is test driving today. Now that the bill is moving forward I think I will wait to order. It looks like it will be $10k for Tesla, and possibly an upfront discount at point of sales rather than a tax credit (if it passes of course). Who knows what it will be in its final form on Biden's...
