You might get a lot of paint chips on the front and by the rear doors on a road trip like that. Not sure if you’re getting ppf. If so, getting it delivered might save you those paint chip damage.

Just picked up my MYP. No issues whatsoever so far. No panel gaps. Or anything wrong that I can tell so far. You’ll get yours too. Just have some patience. 🙏

Everyone, you will get your car. There are tons of cars and Tesla is busy everywhere. Just here at Colma, CA and there are many Model Ys ready to be delivered. Checking every hour for an update isn’t helping. Maybe once a day. 😅

You can try calling them and talk to a delivery specialist. I think it’s option #4 on the phone

Any hardware changes aren’t possible to change. FSD is pure software, so it can be added/removed to any car easily.

I had my vin temporarily disappear today. Showed 1-10 weeks. Then, the same vin came back and now says edd: 6/16 - 6/19 MYP, MSM, Black, Tow. Vin 211xxx. Set to pick up in Colma, CA

I can’t say I relate with this. We drive in an area that’s often pitch black. The dark screen is all that’s needed. The steering wheel is, well, just where I would expect it to be every time.

This happened to me. It’s not the end of the world. You’ll be assigned a new vin very shortly. There was likely a mix up on Tesla’s end. The Sept date is just a default value—it doesn’t mean much.

I’ve had a reserved order since day 1. But told Tesla I was ready to take delivery this June back in March.

They build cars everyday, including weekends, around the clock running multiple shifts. Tesla is currently selling every car they can build.

Nice! To be fair, a lot of the ride harshness comments might be from 2020 MYP. They’ve apparently made the ride a lot better since.

Welp! Apparently, the vin that was given to me was the wrong spec car (different colors). So, now I’m back in the queue. SA was confident I’ll still get mine by end of June. Hoping!

Fwiw all in the last week, mine had recently been 2-9 weeks, then 6/6-6/19, then VIN this morning

The Michelin tires that the oem ones can be replaced with have a minimum tread life of 30K miles. Agree that when driving with a heavy foot, the mileage will take a hit!

Fwiw, I found the MYP 21” Uber turbine ride quality to be no less harsh than a bmw with sports package. I heard they improved the ride quality some time in 2021 (versus 2020 models). The acceleration is a personal thing, but I love it!

Been doing some sleuthing, as I’m eagerly awaiting for my vin. Looks like a lot of cars are ready to go very soon in Tesla Colma, CA! Lots of vins in the 195-197xxx range.
