Two ways to tell. If you go on your Tesla App->Upgrades->Accessories->Interior then at the bottom, should say Model 3 Powered Trunk Retrofit. If it appears then more than likely your car will support it. Older Model 3 will not have that accessory appear. Another way is to ask your local service...

It seems to have sold out again :/ Hope they can include 2018 and older cars in the future.

I really hope Tesla includes the 2017 and 2018 models in the future. It would be a really nice feature to have especially for early adapters.

Have you asked if they plan on retrofitting the 2018 models and older? This is really upsetting.

You should probably confirm with them if the retrofit will work on your car so you won’t be turned away when you go for your appointment.

Mine is a July 2018 build

Got told that my 2018 model 3 needs to have a different retrofit. So I have to wait until that come out.

Drove by today 06/09. Seems to be some progress!
