Expired Suma Mirrors | 5% Off [Expired]

I have these mirrors and it makes the car so much safer, you can see your blind spot and almost 3 lanes on either side if adjusted correctly. My advice is to not get the blue tinted ones if your front windows are tinted.

For sale Model 3/Y Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Heated

Selling a used Carbon fiber steering wheel with perforated leather and heat. There is some damage to the bottom of the wheel, I probably hit it while getting out of my car while I had tools on. It's not really noticeable since it's at the bottom, see pictures. This will fit all 3/Y, even if...

    New drilled rotors

Since you're asking... I think covers look cheap and I think drilled rotors are great if you're going to actually need them for heat dissipation. If they're just for daily driving it seems like a waste. The holes are a weak point that can crack and you will burn through pads faster. But it's a...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Honestly, give me the specs of a MSLR and I'd be happy, it would bring down the 1/4 mile from 11.4 to mid 10's and performance at higher speeds would improve greatly.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I think the Highland performance will be the same or similar to the current performance. From what I understand the Highland LR will do 0-62 in about 4.4 and the top speed is limited to 125MPH. The Highland P will probably keep the same specs as the current performance model. In a way, they...

    Failsafe Dashcam Save Trick

This is exactly what I did, not only is the Tesla dashcam terrible quality with narrow FOV, it's wildly unreliable. I'll buy a cheap 100 dollar dashcam for reliability, video quality and audio.

2021 Model 3 B-Pilar trim has come loose exposing wiring bundle

30k miles? You should still be under the basic car warranty unless it's been over 48 months. I had something similar (car came delivered that way), mobile tech came out and replaced the clips. I also had a missing clip from part of my back seat so it was just loose, clip was replaced by the SC...

"Power limited - OK to drive. Vehicle may not restart" message

That sucks, I don't think you're gonna find the answer here though. Take it back to the service center and make them diagnose it some more.

    Homelink is acting weird

I had a similar problem and it was due to the antenna range, I extended the antenna with about 10 inches of 24 awg wire and it works great now. Here's a video, this guy went nuts and extended it wayyyy out there. I don't think that's necessary but do whatever works for you.

Sold Model 3/Y interior carbon fiber trim cover - pick up only in the SF Bay Area

Selling a set of carbon fiber covers for a Model 3Y. The parts that cover the wood/white trim are plastic with a carbon fiber pattern (dash+doors), the center console (gen 2) is real carbon fiber. You will need to apply double sided tape before installing. I can supply a sheet of double sided...

Can this nail puncture be repaired?

General rule of thumb, don't cheap out on things that separates you from the ground: mattress, chair, shoes, tires, etc. That nail is way too close to the sidewall, don't cheap out on something that you'll be driving on going 65+ mph. It's a danger to yourself and others.

Do I need to change the tyre if the sidewall is damage like this?

I'm gonna work under the assumption that someone who asked question that has a potentially dangerous problem with their car is being serious and even if they're not, maybe it might help someone else who might see this thread and not know their sidewall is the thinnest part of their tire. But...

Do I need to change the tyre if the sidewall is damage like this?

Random people on an internet forum probably isn't the best place to be asking, I would drop by a tire shop to see what they say. But since you're here... The sidewall is the thinnest part of a tire and that looks like it could lead to a blow out, drive carefully and get it checked out.

Brining jack pads to 3rd party garages necessary?

I take my car to America's Tire Company (same company as Discount Tire, different name in different markets). I don't have to tell them anything, they already have the jack pads and they have to use the bay using jack stands and not the lifts. Maybe in smaller markets where Teslas aren't as...

Changing oil and filter in differential assembly.

Doubling down I see. Let people spend their time and money how they want, if you spend your time criticizing other people's life decisions then maybe find a hobby to fill that void. Actually, maybe that's your hobby, keep doing your thing!

Changing oil and filter in differential assembly.

It's not really always about the money. I like doing my own car work because I know I'm going to do it right and I'll do it with care. You'd be surprised how many shortcuts some mechanics take because it's not their car and because they're trying to knock out as many cars as possible. Also, be...

Model 3 Performance aftermarket brake pads

This right here. Stop spending 200+ on pads if you're just street driving.
  27. SpriteM3

Model 3 Performance aftermarket brake pads

If you're not going to track I would personally just go with some Power Stop brake pads for 80ish bucks for fronts 60ish bucks for rears. Call me crazy but the M3P isn't an ultra performance car, it seems kind of nuts to spend anything more than 200 dollars for pads, but hey that's just me.

    19in vs 20in Aftermarket Rims

I have the Titan T-S5 and I like them a lot. They're forged so they're strong and lightweight. I recommend going with 19" for comfort and range. Going from 18" to 20" you're going to take a big comfort hit and a sizable range hit, 19" is the in-between.

$3500 price difference for Model 3 Long Range AWD vs Performance. Which one should I go with?

Good data, it's still ridiculous that the LR is anywhere even close to the P in terms of performance. For OP though, only a 3.5k difference? The P is a better buy for sure.
  35. SpriteM3

$3500 price difference for Model 3 Long Range AWD vs Performance. Which one should I go with?

There's a couple of videos on YouTube, the LR will overtake the Performance at 100+ MPH on a roll or a little after 1/2 mile from a dig with acceleration boost. Realistically when does that situation ever come up unless you're at the track though.
  36. SpriteM3

$3500 price difference for Model 3 Long Range AWD vs Performance. Which one should I go with?

When I purchased my M3LR the price difference for the Performance was about 8k so I got the LR and purchased Acceleration Boost. Now the price difference is only 3.5k, I think if I had to buy right now I would go with the Performance even if it doesn't perform as well as the LR in the top end.

Since you're taking feedback I would suggest trying to find some V1 sport wheels or 20" v1 performance wheels. I don't know what Tesla was thinking with the v2 sport rims, the outer lip is way too thick.
  39. SpriteM3

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

I think the 19" v1 sport rims and the 20" v1 performance rims are the best factory rims when they're powder coated black, looks great.
