Disclaimer: I’m still waiting for my car so I’ve only been playing a little bit with my Wall Connector. I believe that you are correct (and also that it’s a bit unusual). To my knowledge, the only thing exposed on the home wifi network is an (unofficial) API where you can gather a bit of status.
