Getting "Front passenger safety restraint system fault" error right after updating software

So I had this fix applied by Tesla in 2022, then just this week the error came back. It was a near constant alert all day on Tuesday. Submitted a service request that night. The fault was gone the next morning and hasn't returned. I kept the service appointment anyway because it was so...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Just installed my second set after 40K miles on the first set. My absolute favorite mod/upgrade...looking forward to another 40K. F: 265/40/21 R: 285/40/21

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Also just went over 22K miles myself this week on the same set up...nothing but love for the smooth, stable ride and NO rim rash.

I'd take it back to Tire Rack and have them rebalance...there should be no vibration at any speed.

    Supercharger - Santa Ysabel, CA (LIVE 29 Mar 2021, 8 V3 stalls)

Yep...there a couple of regular ICErs who take up two spots there every time I'm there...a little white pickup and a Honda. I'm pretty sure they work at the restaurant. I understand the signs say "general parking" but it's pretty obvious those are meant for EV charging and there are always...

    Vendor Official Tessie app talk

How do you make it work with Siri, i.e. "open trunk?" When I tried today, my Apple Watch displayed a message telling me I have to use the app to do it. I'd really like to be open to open the trunk using Siri when carrying a bunch of groceries. Thanks.

    Dashcam Unavailable Check USB

I had a service appointment scheduled for tomorrow, but the service tech contacted me and cancelled it because it's a "known" issue which they said would be corrected in an update soon. I'm on 2022.12.3.2. It was intermittent until today. It won't clear at all...no amount of...

The wood trim looks so much better with the white seats than the OEM dash (IMHO).

Same here. They were very responsive...sending me updates along the way without my asking.

    Hills Wood Dash

OK, I was WRONG! The 2nd gen version is unbelievable easy to apply. Hills has a great video tutorial. Took me just a few minutes and it matches the OEM walnut trim perfectly with no interference to the slider. This might be my favorite aftermarket upgrade (besides my AS4 tires). It came...

    Nav map updates

I'm curious how the Tesla map gets updated too. There's a road on my commute that opened up over a year go. Waze shows it open and uses it for routing, but Tesla will not. AFAIK, Waze is Google based.

Battery calibration does help!!!! (At least for my car)

I may have to try this...I've been telling myself "this is fine" over and over as I watch my capacity continue to drop. Currently sitting at 10% degradation after 4800 miles. I've only charged to 100% twice since taking delivery, both times for road trips.

Newly exposed wiring after road trip

I noticed a little wiring peaking out between the trim and rear quarter window on the passenger side the first day of a road trip. By the time we got home a few days later, it looked like this. Has anyone else had this happen? I have mobile service appt set up for next week.

Phantom braking so bad I want to return my car

This was my experience in Central California over the weekend...Cruise was unusable because of the sudden braking if there was a vehicle approaching in the other lane. Can you explain what "using speed limit mode" is? I'd like to try it next trip, thanks.

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Update: we just finished a 1000 mile road trip over the Thanksgiving break, up and down the PCH and 101 to Pismo, then Big Sur, back to Pismo, then down PCH to Santa Monica...lots of varied terrain, traffic, and speeds. I drove +5 mph over the 65 mph limit on the freeways. I expected a...

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

The rated range is based on 100% -> 0%, which is not how these cars are used. On road trips I use an 80% -> 30% window for planning (ABRP is best), which means I stop to charge more often, but for shorter periods...about 15 minutes each. If there isn't a destination charger where I'm going, I...

New Tow Hitch Cover! The Best Yet!

I received my hitch cover kit this weekend and popped it on today. Very happy with the quality of work. Disregard the scratches on the plastic cover...it's a test piece. Now that I have inserted it and removed it a few times, I'm comfortable drilling the mounting holes in my stock cover and...

Your MYP looks amazing with them! The stock set up just looks weird to me with the Ubers sticking out past the rubber. The improved ride, looks, and rim protection make this switch a no-brainer for me. Someone parked a brand new MYP (still had temp tag) with the OEM rubber next to mine this...

Nope, it's true. I reported it and the mods removed it. Here's a constructive suggestion: don't use negative gender bias colloquialisms in your responses. I don't wish for your demise. I wish for you to be better. Cheers.

    540 Vehicle Server Error

Interesting theory. When I first got this error, I had NO third party apps. Since then, I've started using Stats (and only Stats) and have not had a repeat of the error. Not saying they're wrong, but I don't think third party apps are the cause in all cases. Certainly not in mine.

I want to use it for my teenagers' hockey gear (the stinky stuff), but I hate the bowing of the hood and the smudges. Keeping an eye on the auto-frunk threads and plan to buy one once I see something that doesn't have alignment problems.
