for me it does everything i need. The only thing lacking is a physical button if im inside the car (homelink has integrated touch control) but then i can use the existing remote control or just use voice command via my phone. Very easy.

That’s the main feature: auto-open and auto-close - which you can’t do with just the basic remote. You can also open/close garage via internet, at home or away from home. Sound and flashing lights before closing are there because of compliance - for safety.

First opening before leaving and closing after arriving are manual - you can use phone app, remote control or the controller on the wall in your garage. That shouldnt be an issue

The updated IOS app is great. A lot more info than before if you haven’t taken delivery yet. You can update profile, sync calendar, etc.
