M3LR. August 2021 build. CCS support "not installed"

Been a very busy couple days, so I didn't have a chance to post. Happy to report that my new Tesla is finally home!

So I've got delivery right around the corner, and I've completed every last step that's expected of me in my account, including payment. Right now I'm curious when the "Payment" step will get a checkmark so my account can finally move on to delivery.

Whew. Thanks for the info! Looks like I got another half hour to wait. Guess I'll just resume pacing around and wearing a hole in my floor.

One more day to go for me! Scheduled for Noon on Sep 1. Just waiting for that "review agreements" button to become clickable. Anyone have any insight into when that happens?

Reach out to your Delivery Advisor (if you have one) or someone at your Delivery Center. They should be able to help you sort this all out.

It's really quite amazing seeing all 5 colors available in existing inventory. When was the last time that ever happened? (this is for the Washington DC Metro Area.... use 20001 as delivery zip code)

Thanks for the info! Good to know it ain't just me. Definitely a huge relief. I was worried something got wonky in the system and was going to hold up my delivery until I reached out to someone to fix it. And now we're in the home stretch.... 7 days and 12 hours to go! Part of me still can't...

App won't show anything at all until delivery day. Until then, all the info will be on the Tesla website when you log into your account there.

I received my VIN on Aug 18. At that point my EDD was Aug 30 - Sep 5. Next day it changed to Aug 28 - Sep 3. It stayed that way until I received the email today to schedule delivery. The choices they gave me were Sep 1 - Sep 3. So.... based on my experience, I want to say it's fairly accurate?

Excellent deal! In my case, it was just a lowly Hyundai... not exactly cream of the crop.

Not dealing with tire kickers and low ballers is exactly why I just went with CarMax. Sure I could have gotten maybe a grand more through private sale, but I just don't have the right mindset to deal with the hassle of private buyers.

I dunno what the heck Vroom is smoking with that offer. Have you tried Carvana? In my case, CarMax beat out Vroom and was evenly matched with Carvana, so I just went with CarMax coz I could just get the money from them that very same day.

Oh! Good to know. Yeah, I'll be installing something similar when I get mine. I saw the screws on your license plate but not the bracket they provide and I just thought the worst.

Looks absolutely gorgeous! Congrats! But holy yikes, did the delivery center DRILL the license plate into the front bumper??? Why would do that instead of using the included bracket??

Ahh good know. Thanks! I just wanted to be sure the delivery center wasn't attaching the front plate bracket before delivery. I'll be installing my own when I take delivery eventually.

It's true! When I changed my avatar, my squirrel gave me all the secret deets on VIN acquisition. A week later, I landed a VIN!

Did they install the front license plate bracket along with the temp tag, or did you do it? Edit to add: Congrats!! The car looks absolutely gorgeous!

And as a follow up, I (surprisingly) got one of the online chat agents to switch my order over from cash to financing! After that, submitted my financing application and was (again surprisingly) approved almost immediately. Getting 2.49% through JP Morgan Chase.

VIN GET!! EDD now says Aug 30 to Sep 05. Order date was Jul 13. I got an email asking me to pay my balance (but I'll be switching to financing first), but nothing about scheduling delivery yet. Home stretch, baby!

Well I’m now down to a 9 day window. Still no VIN. August 31 - September 08.

Today’s EDD update: Aug 30 - Sep 08. Again, EDD remains exactly two weeks out of reach by moving a day to the right. End date is holding steady and now my delivery window is 10 days. Still no VIN.

Interesting. I thought AP maxed out at 90mph. Did they limit it recently?

My EDD has been playing a very strange game. The first date is always exactly two weeks away. Each new day, it moves a day to the right. Meanwhile, the second date remains steady or occasionally moves a day to the left. So, in a sense, my delivery window is shrinking but I'm no closer to it now...

Sounds like a great morning for a lot of us! I got my first legitimate EDD range since ordering on 7/13! Aug 20 - Sep 10. Fingers crossed!

I was wondering if the service center installed the front license plate bracket before delivery. Glad to know they don’t and leave it up to you. I plan on getting a custom non-stick plate bracket and didn’t want to deal with the headache of removing the original one.

Just like most folks who were missing their EDD, mine reappeared. November. Hooray. (it said 10-16 weeks before vanishing for 10 days). Order date July 13. Well at least it’ll fun to surprise my family for Thanksgiving when I roll up in my Mode 3.

Thanks for the info! Before CarMax, I'd already gotten quotes from all those places. Sadly, Vroom was $650 less than CarMax. Carvana beat CarMax by whopping $13 (woooo I could buy some lunch with that!). I should clarify my old car was an ICE Hyundai.
