Just go to the Ohmu site you can read up on how Tesla actively programs the BMS to reject other LiOn 12 volt batteries. Pretty common knowledge.

It should work. As I already said, if you wake your car up in any other way then opening the door, it recognizes the USB. Toggling Sentry would do this. As would turning on the climate control. Opening and closing the charge port. Anything that wakes up the car BEFORE opening the door.

It's a software issue, that started with one of the updates. It's a code issue. Replacing the hardware won't change it
