How to park well with HW 4.0 (no sensor)?

How did you park whatever you were driving before you bought this car? It's alarming how many people can't drive well enough to park a car.

    FSD Price refund

I was thinking the same thing. Jags are notoriously unreliable and while it may be fun to drive, it's much more expensive to maintain and fuel than the Model S

Regret purchasing FSD after the Ver 12 "upgrade" being crammed down my throat

Regarding your points about TACC/FSD being separate and setting TACC speed: You can still do that. I suspect you have the option to allow the car to determine the appropriate speed enabled (I forget what it's officially called.) There is a toggle switch in the autopilot settings menu. If you...

    Great Latest Update

I don't. That's why I wouldn't spend money on graphical updates to my center screen. I'm not saying people shouldn't spend money for just that, only that I wouldn't. To each their own, as they say.

    Great Latest Update

This seems like a colossal waste of money, considering you shouldn't be looking at your display for extended periods while driving.

    Free FSD for 1 Month

I must be on the MassHole branch, then. That explains it.
  9. M

    Free FSD for 1 Month

99% is very generous. I live in the burbs and it consistently tries to change lanes at or in the middle of intersections, doesn't seem to want to drive at my set speed (hovers around 5mph under,) make strange lane change decisions despite minimal lane changes being enabled and illegally passes...

New [used] Car!! - 2022 Model 3 Long Range + Questions and info

Only downside I see is they have just 20,000 miles left of the powertrain warranty on a car that is maximum 15 months old. Granted, most problems would have surfaced by now over 100k miles. Great buy, Doc.

    Toyota Bz4X

Thanks, Buzz Killington. We all know what they meant. Your analogy could further confuse as when charging the display expresses charge rate as mph or kph. kWh seems like a logical link even though it designates capacity rather than speed.

    Just got my first Tesla

I'm on my second model 3 since early 2020 and have had precisely 0 issues. No rattles, no broken parts, no maintenance. All I've had to do is fill the washer fluid and rotate my tires. What do you mean by "too much technology?"

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

Giving them a number to hit for a satisfactory monthly payment allows them to off a lower interest rate with a higher premium for the car. This is fine as it's your money but those who are after the best deal should never give a dealer their acceptable monthly number. I am after both the lowest...

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

That's more than my mortgage, including taxes and insurance. Different levels of income aside. It seems like $0 down is the problem. Not as big of a deal when you got the S since rates were lower but that is a great way to be upside down on a car before you even drive off the lot. Leasing this...

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

You're paying $77,400 (monthly for the MB and 27k for the Tesla) over the next 3 years, after which you'll be no closer to owning the car. Seems like a raw deal to me. The cheapest car is the one you already have, as they say. But those in the market for a $170,000 car may not really care one...

That's certainly not going to help matters. Just bring it somewhere else, explain it beforehand and I'm sure it'll be fine. You also say you "have to make it work" but then say it's not broken. You have to pick one. Edit: why are you upset they failed you if it wasn't going to pass due to the...

    Painted Brake Calipers Voids Warranty

I personally think it's BS that they won't operate in good faith and fix it since properly done painting shouldn't cause any issue but there are parts of the warranty they can point to to deny you. I can't copy and paste it for some reason but it reads to the effect of "any inappropriate repair...

We could have clear minded evaluation if you would just provide a timeline of events and not gloss over a 3 day period. We're all (save for a few) trying to help here. Resorting to insults really doesn't help much.

Need help deciding which Tesla to sell

Impulse buying is one thing when you're talking about small electronics or some furniture but a 3rd vehicle while upside down on 2 others to the tune of 20 grand is another matter entirely.

You certainly insinuated at one. Sound familiar? You're also missing everything that happened between 1/19 and 1/21. Was any attempt at contact made or your behalf or theirs? Did you complete everything required in the app? Post your chats if you think you're in the right. While we're at it...

OP. For about the thousandth time, write out your timeline of events starting from the order fee being placed. All you've done is contradict your own previous statements and aimlessly blame folks at Tesla and pointed to a conspiracy from Tesla corporate to renege on a price that was offered...

The Cybertruck is more expensive to supercharge than a Ford F-150 costs in gas

I'm at about .25 in southeastern MA. That factors in the delivery fees and whatnot to get an actual per kWh cost. On paper they list it as .15

Did Model S Plaid just have range downgraded by 37 miles?

Nothing has physically changed with the car, only an update in testing standards. If you drive conservatively on trips to your cabin (barring extreme weather and temps) you should be fine.

  37. M

Any way to stop the schedule update box from popping up on the screen?

It doesn't. Drive like a responsible person and it's no different than before. Do you keep one hand on the wheel when doing so? Does "freaking out" mean a slight nag?

Poll is current hardware sufficient for full self driving?

"Level 3 vehicles have “environmental detection” capabilities and can make informed decisions for themselves, such as accelerating past a slow-moving vehicle. But―they still require human override. The driver must remain alert and ready to take control if the system is unable to execute the...

    Cybertruck launch

This was the most disjointed and "um... uh..." filled presentation I've ever watched. Only touted the towing, speed, and a couple features and didn't reveal ANY real world specs because they knew they overpromised and under delivered. Trash event.

Tesla wants to monitor my activity data

My thought is it's meant to defeat relay attacks. If your car receives a ping from the phone and it's deemed not active for a while, i.e. sleeping, it may not unlock or start. Just my guess though. Seems like a good idea to me so I allowed access.

Took the jump to...Tesla MYLR ownership!

Congrats on the purchase! These really are fantastic cars to drive. What do you mean by inside front camera? If you're referring to the one in the cabin facing the driver, you can't display that on the main screen (not sure what purpose that would serve) but you can display from the app when...

Irresponsible thoughts of upgrading my Y to an S

I suspect price is the barrier. X has, until recently, has been exorbitantly expensive for what it is. Though, reasonable now it's still the most expensive option for Tesla.
