If you switch to plaid you will have your car within 3 weeks. It’s worked for many that we’re tired of waiting. Including me. Besides, the plaid is amazing!!!

I ordered a plaid for Midwest delivery on 5/11/22 and another one to be delivered in Vegas on 6/11/22. Wouldn’t you know they both got vin assigned two days ago. I only wanted one but thought maybe Vegas would deliver faster. I picked up one and released the other.

I actually did that this week. I put in a plaid order white with black interior to be delivered in Vegas. Ordered on Monday and got the Aug-Oct timeline. The next day went to Aug 16 -Oct 22. My original MX Plaid order a few months ago to be delivered to the Midwest is EDD Aug 12 to sept 22...

I would be more concerned about where this car has been the last couple months and WHY someone else rejected it. If it was me I wouldn’t touch it. To get one that fast, it was someone else’s reject so had to be something wrong with it. Probably something more than just someone declining it...

If they don’t have staff to deliver it to you seems unlikely they have staff to move between locations.

I did almost the exact same thing and had the same experience. Except my dates were 6/17-7/8. Then a week ago they changed to 8/12-9/22. So back in that august timeframe. Where are you located?

I definitely will not be updating any finance information until I have a VIN if this goes beyond 30 days.

There seems to be a lot of EDD’s that have been moved to late June or early July. Do we think that most of these will get VIN’s in the next few weeks or could they push out until late summer or even fall???

I did not place an order until May and feel bad for those waiting 400+ days. That’s crazy. I ordered a LR and had the Feb-Apr 23 date. Then switch to plaid and moved up to august. Then added red and FSD and moved to June. But still no VIN so we will see. Honestly if it slips much past...

I’ve been languishing at this nearby EDD. Not patient at all waiting for this VIN. Happy for all that are getting theirs!!!

Do you have FSD? Add that and I bet you move up. I ordered may 30 and have edd of 6/17-7/8.

I can’t speak specifically for NJ which I know is very unique for insurance (high rates), but I shopped extensively and found Progressive to be by far the least cost. Never had a claim but if you want cheap it might be worth checking out.

That is great news. I don’t know how many they are making every day but it’s encouraging yours is already on the way. Perhaps mine will get VIN shortly. Why else would they give EDD this month? Hopefully!

Thanks for the tip. I don’t have an MVPA. Just MVOA. Order agreement. No purchase agreement. Which means VIN not yet assigned. Given the pattern of VIN assignments it feels like maybe I need to wait another 7-10 days, closer to the first EDD day (June 17) before I might get a VIN. We’ll see!
