Tesla told me they keep the Yoke….now I’m hesitating the swap. When I sell the car down the line I’d like to have it in case new buyer wants it. I don’t understand why they don’t let you keep it.

I had this and fixed it. A reboot didn’t do anything - but if you put on a video on the front monitor such as Disney plus the rear screen adapts the resolution to mirror the front and since has been fine.

Tesla Princeton had my car for this for >2 weeks in march waiting for new center console. Finally replaced center console and gave it back with exact same issue. It’s like they didn’t test it. Had to point out what proper function was…Then they swore it must have reverted back to not working...

I tried a few plastic trim pry tools but those clips are prob the strongest in the car (everything loose!) i bent one pry tool - will try wire I guess. Thanks!

My car was in service for 2 weeks for this (I owned car for 3 weeks so far) they replaced entire center console and gave me back the car. Exact same problem!!!! They then shrugged shoulders and said oh well I guess that’s how it is and asked me to take it home… said there is no way to fix it...

How do you pass the wire into the center console? I can’t find a way for cable to go either on driver or passenger (preferred) side. I took off the inductive cell charging pad but found no extra room to pass through. Also - could not get an area to pry to right center console side cover to pop...

There is no clip there to whack. It looks like it’s loose on both sides but doesn’t adhere there all that well.

I’m in same boat. Ordered end May and seeing people with same configs weeks to months later in a state or two over getting deliveries. Sucks but nothing to do.

I’m happy for you but this is also ridiculous to many of us waiting 7+ months. I have same spec waiting since May… I know others waiting probably even longer.

Interestingly, if you order a new long range with white interior now, dates pushed back up to June 2022 again (from November 2022). Black interior pushed up to October 2022 (from March 2023). Perhaps more on hand parts or better factory throughput than they were recently expecting 3 weeks ago...
