AMD Ryzen UPDATE MODEL 3/Y? [retrofit speculation thread]

Retrofit seems unlikely but it would be nice if they could do something about the wildly different feeds from the rear and side cameras in the Atom M3s...

Passenger side seat moving/resetting on its own?

We are now experiencing this in our 21 M3. It started recently and the seat is pressed up against the rear child seat.

    Model 3 Replacement Wiper Blades

My '21 wipers have been going strong for a year and a half, so I think I will stick with OEM for this particular part. Also using the same floor jack that they're repair people use as well as Prestone washer fluid.

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

I know this is more about Rennstand alternatives than emergency jacks, but check these out. If only they made them for Teslas! https://liftbars.com/

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

I like it, but I don't /love/ it. I'm guessing Ray means that he uses one jack to lift and a second for redundancy backup?

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

Don't need it, ResQ+ pump/seal kit says leave puncture item in. If it's too large, I can have someone bring floor jack and a full size wheel from home, or if too far, will have to deal with tow/repair.

Porsche Emergency Scissor Jack - Tesla nub

I cut the Porsche nub down to fit Tesla mounting points. I've used it twice, lifts the car as expected. I also fitted a 1/2" drive scissor jack adapter. $200 + shipping. Porsche 000.721.711.05

Selling mine, Porsche nub has been cut down to fit Tesla mounting points. I've used it twice, lifts the car as expected. I also fitted a 1/2" drive scissor jack adapter. $200 + shipping.

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

Cool! I've just been using OTC LDJA2, same as mobile service techs, for seasonal swaps. What did you use to saw the nubs down to size? Filing was incredibly slow so I gave up and Dremel might take a while, not to mention limited cut depth.

Wireless charging in M3 makes phone very hot

Tried it upside down in passenger slot, slow to detect wireless and then didn't seem to charge. Then put it right side up in driver slot and.. it worked fine. Maddening.

Wireless charging in M3 makes phone very hot

I don't recall having an issue with my pixel 4a 5G but with the Pixel 6 Pro now, it's always hot and even draining the battery and throwing heat warnings in Android, will try flipping it upside down but otherwise I just run a cable from the center console. Very disappointed as I was quite...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

This is so exciting!!! I'm so happy for you! Can you post some pics of light sources that used to ghost but no longer do? Photo of the new emblem on the glass? Still Sekurit? Which model did you have again? I wonder if their optical design or manufacturing processes haven't been improved in the...

    Windshield Ghosting

Went into a service center to get this looked at, they said "it's within tolerance", tech and I evaluated my 2021 M3 against his and a customer's 2021 MS Plaid and all had the same issue, though the MS had it about half as bad...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

One more observation to make: I'm 6'4" and had my seat a bit high. Now I lowered it allll the way down and the ghosting is maybe 15% better, if I crouch down to my eyes just above the steering wheel it goes away completely as long as I don't look to the far left. Just notes, not a fix. Maybe all...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

It definitely seems that they are aware that it's a widespread issue if multiple service centers have some sort of device behind which they can hide, saying it's within some tolerance. Dismissive, lazy, shoddy, lots of adjectives are appropriate here. I imagine they have tighter tolerances /...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

Is this on the inside or outside? Have you by chance used a microfiber cloth on either surface? I did so on the inside and it was a used cloth and now there are tiny fibers in what look like little electromagnetic fields spread all around the windshield when in bright sunlight. I will try using...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

I went into the service center to pick up the M3 and one of the techs heard me out and wanted to see the ghosting himself. We sat in my car and looked about for good examples (a chrome badge was the best I could find in dim sunlight) when he noticed some amber lights on a tow truck. I asked the...

Do you "just live with" the front windshield ghosting?

Thanks all for gathering information, contributing explanations of the optical physics behind it , and banding together. It feels highly irresponsible of Tesla to have such a wide spec tolerance allowing manufacturing defects during production and then refusing to replace the windshields that...

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

Welp, in that case, I'll be selling the Porsche jack either here or on eBay. I thought of a Daytona since nearly identical to SnapOn, stopped short of a Brunnhoelzl racing jack, and asked Tesla service what they use on mobile visits - OTC aluminum jack. Back ordered but no rush as winter is...

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

Hi msw et al., long time reader, first time poster. I bought a set of used 2018 winter wheels for my 2021 M3 (don't get me started on the TPMS incompatibility; the service dept said it would be fine (lie)) and am looking to do seasonal tire swaps and front/back rotations at home rather than my...
