Similar as you, ordered 8/28, immediately got VIN, car is now able to be picked up Thurs/Fri/Sat. Like you, I work all day Thurs/Fri, and thought about calling out, but did the responsible thing and scheduled for Saturday 😅
Mine did the same thing last night, narrowed from 9/5 - 9/12 to 9/6 - 9/10. This morning, I got the email to schedule delivery! Keep an eye on your inbox, it will probably be there soon.
I would definitely agree that I’ve had more consistent service with other brands, but then again I’ve never placed a factory order before. From what I’ve read on /r/AskCarSales about factory orders in the last few months given the manufacturing and supply constraints, it just seems like it’s a...
I’m not sure, one user suggested that the 19” wheels may be low inventory and thus be causing our vehicles to be taking longer to enter production. It’s just pure conjecture though. I have no idea if 19” makes a difference in current production, just that my car is a LFP from “existing...
Honestly, I actually wanted the aero wheels! The sport rims were the only ones left on the existing inventory in San Diego when I placed the order 😅 hopefully it’ll enter production soon
Update to last comment:
I called the delivery center in Carlsbad and they claimed to have never called me, so not sure what my sales rep meant. My car is still in pre-production with a delivery window of 9/2 - 9/12. 🥲
LFP M3 SR+ White with Black Interior, 19” sport rims, purchased from...
Lol, I did get a call from an (800) number yesterday. I actually answered it, thinking it might be Tesla. Ended up just being Culligan Water trying to upsell my delivery 😂
My sales rep just messaged me and said the delivery center tried to contact me yesterday… I didn’t get a call, voicemail, text, or email about anything, but he said to call them again tomorrow. Wish me luck
I’ve been pulling new CarMax offers every few days so the value doesn’t drop too much. Online offers are good for 7 days for an appraisal. After the appraisal, the final offer is good for another 7 days.
I wouldn’t worry too much if you’re still in pre-production. While it’s misleading to call these “existing inventory,” my SA at least advised me that it would be most likely only take 1-2 weeks to get the car from today. That would still put me within the delivery ETA.
For those of you in San Diego who ordered in the last few days, I just called Carlsbad and they quoted my car as still being pre-production. Delivery window is 9/3 to 9/12 on my account. They said it will likely be another 1-2 weeks from today. Ordered a M3 SR+ in white with black interior.
Noob question, but how do I get in contact with an “SA”? I tried calling Tesla, couldn’t get anyone on the phone. I did place my order after taking a test drive with a local sales rep, but I ordered online and not with him.
