Discussion of statistical analysis of vehicle fires as it relates to Model S

And i have responded with stats. That's the post that does not show up. Basically i will try to redo it here. In 1997 there are 377k fires in 2010 184,500. Miles driven went up 20%, so fires/mile driven is down about 3x. The only reason i could think of is safer cars.

Discussion of statistical analysis of vehicle fires as it relates to Model S

I have posted this in another forum (and for some reason it's pending moderation). In your regression you have to account for age of cars, clearly newer cars tend to catch on fire a lot less vs. older cars.

I am confuses to why my posts don't show up. i will try it again. http://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/statistics/v13i11.pdf From 2008 to 2010, an estimated 194,000 highway vehicle fires occurred in the United States each year http://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/statistics/v2i4-508.pdf...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

crap!! wrote a post and for some reason it did not go thru! i will do a quicker version with a lot of math: http://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/statistics/v13i11.pdf From 2008 to 2010, an estimated 194,000 highway vehicle fires occurred in the United States each year...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

OK, i accept some criticism. I thought the fact that newer cars are safer was obvious, however if you insist on my proving it here it is: http://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/statistics/v13i11.pdf from 2008 to 2010, an estimated 194,000 highway vehicle fires occurred in the United States...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

The warning is really funny :) will give u props for that. I don't see an upside trigger. My position will only change once real statistical argument will come into play. I am sure the Feds have fire statistics by make/year/miles driven, etc. The fact that the cars are safer now vs. 12 years ago...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Model S risk may not increase over time, however newer ICE car do (arguably) have much lower risk of fire vs. older cars. This is why you must compare apples to apples.. best way it to compare to direct competitions. aka cars Model S is positioned to compete against (as i said earlier S-class...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Hello, I am new to this forum, however has been lurking for a few weeks. I got into TSLA at 30ish, and had to sell at 80ish as i needed money as a down payment for my house. Overall, i love the company and the product, however the price here is insane. Pricing in huge growth with very little...
