Update: AA battery makes the phone sit up too high for my iPhone 12 to charge (maybe better for a 12/13 Mini). I now have a Bic pen resting there and the phone will charge, but I'm not sure if it helped at all because the phone still stops charging after a while on both sides of my charger.

I'll definitely be trying this out with iPhone 12. Both of my charging pad's sides cut in and out regularly. I have a dead AA battery here that I'm going to use later. I will try to remember to report back with my findings. If it works, I might order that product you linked to and try that.

I'm sure this was asked at some point, but does anyone know if a Tesla Service Center could be paid to install any of this? Could I buy all the hardware and bring it to them to do? I'd rather pay someone who knows the cars in-and-out to do this and not risk messing something up doing it myself.
