Thanks for the input everyone. I’m going to assume my son didn’t close the trunk completely and I just didn’t notice. I like the idea of turning off BT too, just in case, and I’ll activate the PIN. Hopefully that covers it going forward.
Phones were in the back of the house, car was parked on the street in front of the house. My phones were way more than 30’ from the car (which is typically the max BT range). But, who knows maybe somehow pocket unlocked it.
