I subscribe to Premium Connectivity and still don’t view this as expected behaviour. I should be able to cycle through my radio presets without it changing sources on me. It’s been this way for literally ever vehicle I’ve owned. Very frustrating.

No, interest rates are only held for 30 days. It's recommended you don't apply for financing until you have a scheduled delivery.

It may be better in the short term, but given the outlook for interest rates it will likely get more expensive sooner rather than later.

When did everyone get asked to accept the Tesla Vision update? I have a delivery date scheduled, but I haven't got the Tesla Vision page, and I don't see my VIN in my account page (my SA emailed it to me earlier this week).

Is this an issue that's more common with a Tesla? I know I have the occasional mouse in my garage, but never had an issue with them in 10+ years .. but this thread has me a bit concerned.

And just like that, my VIN was officially assigned. F397. I texted my SA and he called me right away - build date is 3/12, so assuming it wasn't rejected or damaged in transit or anything. It's probably still en route to Oakville. That said, they gave me a delivery date of March 29.

Argh, my EDD just moved from 3/27-3/30 to 3/24-3/30. I'm not sure what to make of it - I thought the older, narrow window meant I was close.

Hopefully we don't get the rejects .. but I assume the SA can answer whether a VIN has been previously rejected. UPDATE: And within the last 30 minutes my EDD has moved from 3/27-3/30 to 3/24-3/30.

Has anyone in the GTA been assigned a VIN for late March delivery? I can see mine in source code but it’s a F397 - and no official VIN notification from Tesla yet - but just curious if we’re seeing any F400+ being assigned up here (F397 suggests an early March build to me).

It's not really an older VIN - what's it missing? It will have Ryzen, the new battery, etc. You could also ask your SA about it, they'll usually tell you whether it's been rejected or whatever.

I’ve been frantically checking the app today .. VIN appeared in source code on Sunday, but still no official notification. I’m terrified it’s going to disappear and get pushed to April or May.

Mine didn't show up until this very last narrowing of the EDD .. you should see something soon.

Using a web browser, sign into your Tesla account and click to "Manage" your order. Once you're on that page, right-click and choose "View Page Source" (if you're using Chrome). Once you're viewing the page source, just CTRL-F and search for "7SAY".

Interestingly, I tried to get the build date using Chat and was told they couldn't verify date using chat, but just said I'll be getting the "latest and greatest". Has anyone else been able to verify build date using online chat?

Why would you think it’s a reject? Just look at the thread over the past week .. people are getting assigned 396s and up. I also don’t believe the VINs are sequential, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You can also ask your SA to provide you with the actual build date.

I just had an EDD update today to 3/27-3/31 (from 3/25-3/31) - but more importantly - have a VIN in source code! F397. No email or text yet, but will hopefully get something official in the next few days.

Yup .. given their tightening rules around holds I wouldn't place an MYP order now, expecting Austin, until we have something official. We haven't even seen an MYP in the lot yet.

Yes .. your EDD will probably shift again before the end of March anyway (hopefully to something sooner!). If your rate expires before your EDD, the only downside is that you (possibly) get hit with another credit check - but that shouldn't be an issue for most people.

Rates are only guaranteed for 30 days, so you're still too early. And yes, you can assume rates will go up in April as well.

You can do it all online - takes less than 5 minutes.

I expect that you'll get the rates that apply whenever you actually switch to financing. That's partly why I applied on Feb 28, I wanted to lock in the lower rates even though I still don't have a finalized delivery date yet (but expecting it within 30 days).
