A data point for those of you still on hold: I took my 7/26 order off hold yesterday (MSM/White - Maryland/DC area). New EDD as of today is January 26-February 23.

Exact same thing happened to me. I was assigned a vin within 12 hours of getting that email. I am going to visit the store near me in an attempt to go back on hold.
