If you press and hold the FWD button, the door will continue to open all the way. Then, there will be an option on the screen to "Always open fully at this location." Tap that, and you should be good to go.

I agree that does seem odd. My service appointment is March 28 - I'll let you know how it goes. My crack is cosmetic and hard to see if not at the right angle, so I can live with it until a new windshield becomes available.

Hi folks! I picked up my blue/cream/6 seat/20"/no FSD MX yesterday evening from the Devon, PA SC. Process was super smooth and the car looked great. Only 2 issues: the fobs were missing and there was a crack in the windshield right at the base of the trim going from the rear view mirror back...

Thanks! I don't know who my SA is. The only correspondence I've had is with the mystery number from CA. When I try to call Devon, I'm always connected with someone in a different location. I know others have had great experiences there with delivery, so I should be in good shape. 🤞

That happened to me. I had July, then March 9-31, then back to July, and 2-3 days later March 15-31. Now I have a VIN and EDD of March 13-19.

I got a date range, then it went back to July, then another date range, and a VIN the next day

I got a text around 1:30pm ET

Yup. Same thing happened to me. Was July 2022, then on 2/21 got a date range of 3/7 - 3/31, and on 2/25 switched back to July 2022. Frustrating ...

Local car dealers have almost-new used Y's available here in PA. They get them from the SC when someone can't pick up in the 3-day window. You definitely pay a premium, but you can drive it home that day

How long was it for you from initial date range to VIN being assigned?

My newly-assigned date range includes several days when my family and I will be out of the country :rolleyes:. Does anyone have experience with having a friend pick up their car? Is that difficult to arrange?

I get a little frustrated with the folks with long-time LR orders who put in a new order for a Plaid to get a car faster. We're playing right into Tesla's hands!

I'm in the same boat. My SA was not sympathetic - they'll hold it for me for 3 days and then give it to someone else. Supposedly, we can give power of attorney to a friend and have them pick it up

I had a similar interaction with my SA: when the car gets here, I have 3 days to pick it up or it will be given to someone else. They get to take all the time they want, but we only get 3 days :mad:

Are you speculating that each SC got allocated a certain number for December deliveries, or do you have that on good authority?

A March 2021 order?! That gives me hope that maybe they'll put my March order on the same truck as @Gucci Bird's to pick up at Devon, PA! Edit: They can put @DaddyPig's on the truck too - it's a win-win-win! 😂

The person who got the recent VIN is in New York. There's a theory going around that Tesla might prioritize east coast deliveries at first, but there doesn't appear to be much rhyme or reason to any of their behavior.

Nope, no VIN here yet. I compulsively check several times a day. It's good to know there are several of us. Perhaps enough to fill a truck?

I have a similar story. I don't know why Tesla doesn't offer a fair trade-in value for people upgrading to a new model. I sold my 2018 MX to Carvana in August, when my delivery date for the refresh was still October. Now I'm borrowing cars from my wife and kids.
