Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

I need snow tires for my new Model 3 in Vermont. Tesla's website shows all winter packages out of stock, with no information about when they might be available. (I'm a bit surprised, since global car production is currently limited by chip availability, I'd expect tire capacity to be...

    Winter Battery Heating

Yes, I've seen this and that's why I thought it was constantly using power to keep the battery from getting too cold.

    Winter Battery Heating

What I've read agrees with Amped412. RockyH and Gasaraki are strongly convinced we're wrong. Why all the advice about not leaving a Tesla in an airport parking lot not plugged in during cold weather due to the damage that a drained battery can cause?

    Winter Battery Heating

Maybe I've misunderstood everything I've read about the importance of keeping the car plugged in during cold weather. I've read that rather than draining the battery in order to keep its temperature from going too low, Tesla advises keeping it plugged in so that juice from the grid can do that.

    Winter Battery Heating

Thanks again. It rarely gets to -22F, and the garage is a bit warmer inside, but we got to -35 one night a number of years ago. I guess I'd have to cover the car in blankets and run electric heaters under it. I do think they should be a bit more forthcoming about this sort of thing before...

    Winter Battery Heating

Amped412, thanks for posting. I do understand the points you made. What I was hoping to do was turn of the warming completely, whether from the grid or the battery. Keeping the battery warm for two weeks in very cold weather is going to use a fair amount of power. I don't understand what harm...

    Winter Battery Heating

Oops. I meant "temps below freezing" not "below zero" but I can't see a way to edit my prior post.

    Winter Battery Heating

If this has been discussed elsewhere here, I haven't been able to find it. I have a new Tesla Model 3 Long Range as of June. My primary use of it is to travel the 190 miles between my homes in Boston and northern Vermont. I will often be leaving the car garaged in Vermont in winter for 2 weeks...

High beams not working or I don't know how to work them

I'm having the same issue. I have a long, unlit narrow drive through woods. I'd love to have high beams on to see any animals in the road ahead, but they will not stay on. It seems that just the reflections from the trees are confusing it. When I get onto a wider country road they will stay on...
