Great that you can put solar on the Guesthouse! My guesthouse has separate utilities so a non-starter for solar tiles 😩

Not proud of it, but significant energy usage from pool, sprinklers, well water system, 2 A/C zones and a mini data-center. Have installed propane for Range & Dryer. Water heater operates using a heat pump.

This info was provided by my Tesla rep verbally. I had a pre-April ‘21 contract for a 32KW system priced at ~$150k, price was jacked up +$100k in April so had to cancel. Just went through the quote process again recently and the capacity bumped up to 42KW but price also bumped up to $260k - no...

Apparently they can add solar tiles closer to the roof edge now which is increasing max KW production. For my roof this bumped the max up from 32KW to 42KW.
