Oh ya. The SA said the touch up paint was going to expand and fill the scratch flush with the panel. I was thinking I must have “sucker” written on my forehead or sth.

I ended up taking it. I wanted to be done with the process. With nonexistent customer service, I would never get another Tesla again. Good luck guys. I am out.

I got a new VIN (251) 3 days after I rejected my first (236). I don’t think you go back to the end of the line if you reject delivery. Every SA has a different story to tell. Don’t worry about it too much. There more merits with members reporting actual findings than what they say.

Guys, just like what E90alex said. DO NOT accept the car without matrix lights if that’s what you want. If you do accept it, don’t be surprised if Tesla won’t do anything about it no matter what your SA promises you.

I think I just broke the pattern. I was just told ours with 236xxx has old lights.

So my 236xxx doesn’t have matrix headlights. Do we know if this is a permanent thing or just temporary?

I was able to the centre later the day. The guy had his facts right so he sounded more believable. Said he hasn’t seen a single model 3 without matrix lights. YET.

To add to confusion, I called the call centre as my SA is on vacation. The guy said Canadian cars are not affected. He also said matrix lights are only for model S only. So there went his credibility.

In that case, they could swap them out for halogen light. 🤣

I bet parts alone will be 2k+, plus labour. Not sure if I wanna shell out that much money for a brand new car.

I am a headlamps guy. Will likely reject ours if it doesnt come with matrix headlamps. We don’t know if it’s shortage issue or a permanent change right? If it’s a permanent change I would be bumped. Fingers crossed ours will have them.

Just got updated to May2-May5. Purchase agreement is in place. That came in fast. Was expecting mid May.

Got a two week window today. OD:2/22 EDD: May 5 to Jun 2 (Apr23) EDD: May 3 to May 17

Time was also spent on travelling and permits. But ya I would totally do it myself if the installation wasn’t hard.

I had everything ready 3 months ago where the original EDD was October. Not depressed though. Just mad and disappointed. The car is finally here and pickup is in two days. Also not excited either. Just glad it’s finally over with. Yours will come eventually.

Definitely treat SA’s info with a grain of salt. Mine just told me my Model Y doesn’t come with AMD. If it’s true I’d be glad to receive my $20k upgrade. LOL.

I am no business expert but I think it’s always good if customers pay in advance. I believe wire transfers do take some time to process We will bring a bank draft when taking delivery.

Got an email asking for payment. EDD window is now 5 days.

I am actually more interested in the alleged double paned rear windows.
