I actually work in insurance and a VIN can say a lot. Having the VIN can gain access to someone’s policy info, name, address etc.

For those who have taken delivery, after you uploaded insurance in the app, when were you able to send payment? Was this when your MY arrived at your local SC?

Well. New DD for 12/7. The SC believes they will receive my MY on 12/5 now. They make planning kinda chaotic. I’m not only looking forward to having the car but also looking forward to no longer having to shift my work schedule around for the car. 8 days and counting

For me, I had randomly checked my app and it said “we are making changes to your account” then I checked the site and saw a ViN appear. Hopefully you have a VIN coming!

Indeed but I’m glad our MY’s are coming. Time feels like it went by in a mix of slow and fast. I just feel these days counting down to delivery day will be the longest! Haha

Just spoke with Tesla in Brooklyn and pickup scheduled for 12/10, provided no changes or delays.

I was under the impression that you would pay for the down payment at pick up.

I leave for FL a couple days after our EDD as well, so I hope for us we get early deliveries :-).

Hmmm. Just got a text from Tesla asking if I had a trade in. I think I’ve seen someone mention that before here. If I’m not trading in a car then there’s nothing I would need to do?

We have the same build, 1 day difference in OD and same state with similar EDD. I hope this a good sign for us!

I sold my BMW 5-Series on there back in June. Although I sold it in 3-days, it was super annoying. The constant “is this still available” message drove me nuts. I hope you sell your car soon.

No trade in. I sold my previous car in a private sale. No pending financing either.
