It's not just you my car does the same thing. I was on the 101 as well, heading to Portland and did not make past Slo before getting three warnings. I have never gotten FSD to work for long on road trips.

Yes I would agree with your statement about driving habits and mileage. However if I compare my M3 to my Tacoma. The Tacoma with lets say 100 miles on it before the gas light comes on. I can go about 100 miles, +/- a mile or two. With my M3 same 100 miles I might only 80/85ish miles on the...

This is a real problem with EVs. Not only less range but false mileage, I lose about 29 miles per day from where I start. leave home with 189 miles, drive to work and back 120 miles, get home with 40ish miles.

I have a 2021 M3 plus with 32K, at 80% I get "189 Miles".

Just my 2 cents, but we have a M3 plus. I wish I would have opted for the LR. My commute is 120 miles and the car is set to charge to 180 miles (80%). By the time I get home the car is at 40ish miles left. If you have any other stops you have to supper charge.
