Thanks. I'm looking at this as something i might want to do only when parking. I also think that interior sunshades are of limited effectiveness in this regard since the radiant energy must pass through the glass to hit and be reflected and partly absorbed by the shade, so the heat is inside...

Is there a light colored exterior (tarp) cover available which covers the glass but not the painted body? I'm after reducing sunlight from striking roof and windows hopefully allowing automatic cooling mode to work I park in the open desert this summer. All covers I've seen cover everything...

I just got word my M3LR EDD is now 11/2 to 11/12. That's coming right up! Decided not to hold for tax credit figuring a 1/3 chance I might get it anyway, a 1 in 5 chance nobody gets it when stuff blows up or is pushed to next year.... but really, I want the car and would have bought it without...
