Did you have cancel your order for the second hold and reorder? Or I am assuming Tesla was able to accommodate.

Lol...is it, I am contemplating too. I am on hold until Nov 17th. However, I was advised you can only use hold once, otherwise they cancel the order the second time.

I'd assume the obvious - Tesla will continue to allocate 2021s that were already built. Run out of that inventory, then ship 2022s. God knows how much longer. Th bigger question is, what is the build date of the 2021s currently being assigned

Guys, respectfully speaking, can we please keep this chat specific to 2022 VIN related - some of us are consistently tracking the 2022s so we can take the hold off of our orders.

Maybe prolonged 2021 VINs delivery has a positive impact on 2021 fiscal revenue. Maybe the earnings numbers are tied to the year of the Vin. Otherwise I am not sure why they would hold 2022 VINs. If that makes sense! I just refused delivery and on hold until Nov 17.

Just got my model 3 performance Vin - it's 2021. I also have resale concerns as i normally switch cars every two years. If I reject delivery, does anyone know if Tesla has to provide a 2022 Vin comes jan 1st.
