    How long to pre-condition?

Weird why in this day and age, Tesla dont just sort their sh*t out and integrate with someone like google. Thanks all the same WIIXM.

Does this work with Google Home/Google?

    How long to pre-condition?

Wouldnt this pre-condition the car based on temperature values rather than when you actually need to drive the car? And so, you'll be burning up battery juice at times when you're not even using the car?

Rattling noise outside of car when fan is on.

Anyone know what this is, the noise happens when the fan is on. The video I’m sharing is just when I turned the climate off and you can hear it wind down. Sorry, bodged trying to hide my number plate but you get the idea.

    Rear bumper repair.

In other news, why are these tesla service and repair business so bloody rammed - feels like it’s come out of no where. Is everyone crashing their car post covid?
  7. Oxstock

    Rear bumper repair.

Yeh fair point, what Tesla service location was this? They did say I can wait for the part, they said it’s a 2-3 hour wait to fit it… so that’s an option I guess. Just concerned of their colour matching ability. May just go local, have the bumper and rear quarter panels blended in ensure a...

    Rear bumper repair.

Yes I spoke to Tesla directly, they can provide another tesla, just means a longer waiting time to get one. 6 weeks wait apparently so I’ll just join the queue. Obviously if putin nukes the Uk then all this will be a waste of my time.

    Rear bumper repair.

Just spoke to tesla, they use exactly the same process as the local garage, they said even if they got a new painted rear bumper, the odds of it matching are slim as there’s 13 different variants of the pearl white.

    Rear bumper repair.

Thanks all, went to a local work shop, said they’ll try and match the paint as best as possible but it is challenging on pearl paint. Only sure way is to paint the bumper and rear quarter panels to blend them in. I don’t really want to take the risk, it’s not too expensive, £400 without the...

    Rear bumper repair.

Fair enough, I’ll get a local quote and see what they say. I’d rather them order the paint from tesla as I don’t think even a spectrometer is completely accurate, especially on pearl paints. Also concerned with a replacement car, doubt I’d get that luxury.
  12. Oxstock

    Rear bumper repair.

But I don’t think they’ll be able to get the paint from tesla, I’m pretty sure they can’t anyway.
  13. Oxstock

    Rear bumper repair.

I’ll try but they’re absolutely rammed, especially the tesla approved shops. Tesla themselves said they’ll look at the repair themselves, I had a very rough estimate from them of £1,000-£1,300 and a 6 week wait for a car which I’m contemplating.

    Rear bumper repair.

It was our fault, was my wives, insurance is aware of the accident, they’re awaiting direction from me.
  15. Oxstock

    Rear bumper repair.

The other owner said don’t worry about the car and so it’s only my car to repair, you still think I should go through insurance? I guess my only concern with going privately is a replacement car, it’s not really the money…..doubt I’ll get a car, Even if I go through tesla? Going through...

    Rear bumper repair.

Hi wanted to get some advice. Wife bumped into another car and damaged the rear bumper. I’ve really struggled to get an appointment with an ‘official’ tesla repair company however I’ve just heard from one in Croydon, called veetec motor group. They first quoted £2,099 to completely replace...

    Problem with Profile selection

Any updates on this? When I got the car in December 21 it was pretty flawless. Then it went a bit patchy in jan….. but was only occasionally. Then since March / early April or probably the last update it’s consistently pulling up my wife’s profile (or the last user) - like it’s not even...

For those looking to effectively Black out their Tesla Badges Front + Black

these look amazing. I was a little sceptical at first but I can’t fault some of the images / reviews on their Etsy. Only concern I have is around the dual motor segment. Doesn’t look like many people have chosen to do that or at least they haven’t uploaded images of it? Did you cap the dual...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

I assume podpoint are merely just emailing you what they think you need cable size wise? This is poor form. They have no idea of the demand currently in your garage to be able to suggest to you that 6mm will be adequate without testing 6mm is fine for quite a large load - about 50amps, but a...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

I've had mixed views on this point, some prefer it to run straight from the mains into a sub unit then into the charge point directly. I did get one quote from someone who would run it to our garage consumer unit. Just a few things to be mindful of is the size of your cable running to the...

    UK Charge Point Installer Recommendations

Hey Mate, Sorry, this is quite late but wanted to respond! I too only do 100-120 miles per week, have a Tesla M3LR. a standard 3 pin plug will absolutely be fine for you, I can assure you. You'll find that you get around a 25% charge from 7-7am on a 3pin (**Edit this is for a LR, I'd imagine...

    Cost comparison for EV chargers

I’m curious to know what people are paying for EV chargers to be installed with the grant? I know every install is different, i appreciate that but longer runs are not going to be crazy more expensive. I’ve been quoted for an EV charger at £1,000 for a 7kw hypervolt which is a little more...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

I had this yesterday morning g, what I think is happening is that it’s still doing a test charge in the background because like all of us, we’re all a little click happy and I think it just overwhelms the app. I closed the app down a few times, kept going in and then suddenly it was ok.

Well my chunky devices are a dyson heater in my sons room, mostly use at night so scheduled it to only operate between 23:30-05:30…. I have a washing machine which I’ve just scheduled washes at night now, my car is a super sucker so that’s taken care of at the lower rates. And well, I have a...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

I assume that octopus intelligent will be much better suited for 3pin chargers right cos they charge it in off-peak and yeh so I swapped it today. Will keep an eye on bills to see how things go. Plugged it in at 5pm, and it started charging at 5pm, and my schedule for charge based on IO was 5pm...

Does anyone know if this new octopus tarriff is going to work with a 3 pin charger for low mileage user? I’ve read about the tarrif loads and still have little knowledge about it. Just find it confusing to read. Octopus go was never appealing because I only use a 3 pin and can’t make use of...

These are more than swirls. These are scratches. Might buff out with some ultimate compound. 2 bucket method is all well and good but you always need to start at the top first all round the car then work down. Looks like grit or a stone was caught will washing.

UK 2021 Model 3 Q4 Collection and Delivery Experiences

I think Tesla don’t want to over complicate things so keep it as simple as possible. But batteries are batteries, same as the ones in your phone or camera. Plenty of research out there to suggest that keeping the battery in the mid range his healthier for your battery. Nothing wrong with...

UK 2021 Model 3 Q4 Collection and Delivery Experiences

Mine is 335 I would NOT run it to 0!! I can tell you 335 is not going to be accurate, 300 is likely to be more the story. Plus your reserve under 0% and you may well see it make 335/350 BUT. I’m hoping this enables you not to put that to the test. Really bad for the car. Leave that *sugar* to...

Time and money. They prefer to wash it down with some grit. Ppf is a film, very costly depending on where you are. Most people only get the front end done because of the cost - far more protective than ceramic coating. Ceramic coating adds another layer onto of the paint, like a clear coat...
