Yes. It was through the app. Mobile tech came out with the key fob and programmed it to my car. No charge for the key fob or programming.

I was able score the key fobs for free through service. Took delivery of my X in mid August.

Mine just got updated to July 16 - August 27.

Original order May 2021. Was holding July 2022 and now changed to Dec 2022 - Apr 2023. I did make a change from 7 to 6 seat config back in March.

I just switched from 7 to 6. My EDD still shows July.

Late May order for 7 seater here. Did not receive a call to switch to 6 seater when they were offering it. I would imagine a lot of 7 seater took the 6 seater deal to get quicker delivery. I’m in the same boat as most here to get most storage capacity while being able to seat 7.

If I get financing from my own lender, would be paying with Cash in the system be appropriate since I’m not going through Tesla to get financing?

No base increase per se. Only price you have to pay for is the 6 seat config ($6500) since they eliminated the 5/7 seat option.

I plan on getting financing through my own bank. They usually cut me a check. Will Tesla accept the check or does it have to be wired?

Long time lurker here as well among other folks. I sent an email to my old Tesla advisor if he has heard about folks getting a call to switch to the 6 seat config to get an earlier delivery. He said yes and asked if I was interested to be on that list.
