    2023 Holiday Update Imminent

Same here for my 2021 MY. Good thing the wiper button on the directional stalk is right there. I have been wondering if maybe rain is different in Texas and that's why the car can't see the rain here in Ohio.

    Pearl white paint failure?

So just for fun I googled "what are the orange freckles on my car paint" and the first hit was Remove Orange Spots from White Paint which just proves that whatever it is you may be seeking, it's out there somewhere. 😝 The "freckle" population is increasing over time so I can't think it likely...

They made Homelink harder to use again.

@Patrick66, you've tried to reset the locus for the auto/auto garage to be closer to the garage?

    Pearl white paint failure?

Thanks for all the ideas. I did state in my original post that it is all the way around the car. That means including the bumpers, although admittedly it is somewhat less evident on the plastic parts. I'm pretty sure that rules out rust or brake dust (I don't think you can get brake dust on...

    Pearl white paint failure?

My 2021 MY is exhibiting wholesale paint failure on the bottom half of the car, all the way around. It looks as if it has a bad case of orange measles. Anybody else experiencing a similar problem? I first noticed it last spring when it was less than a year old. As it was only a few spots, I...

And its still in the wrong place, irrespective of arm length

They made Homelink harder to use again.

Hey, are you making fun of my short arms?
  8. C

They made Homelink harder to use again.

The Homelink button is the one item on the screen I need to use the most often and this latest update just turned it back into a tiny icon waaay over on the top right. Why, oh why do programmers insist on messing with things that work just fine? I cannot allow Homelink to automatically activate...

Class Action interest for not disclosing Safety Score

I must be missing something, so please help me out. What features are in this "suite" that I received in exchange for my $10,000?
  10. C

Class Action interest for not disclosing Safety Score

I respectfully disagree. I paid for FSD. That's what the feature was named in the sales agreement. They haven't delivered; its not that they delivered and it just doesn't work, I don't have it. That's pretty simple, in my book. You may think differently, and that's okay. But I'm the one...

Class Action interest for not disclosing Safety Score

Beta is something Tesla wields like Captain America's shield; they try to use it to explain away all sorts of irresponsible behavior and substandard product. You can debate what beta software is or what it means, but the only thing that matters is what legal precedent(s) might be applied, not...

Phone app unable to wake up car

I have had this happen a couple of times here in Ohio. Turn off wifi on your phone; if then it wakes up the car via your cell connection, the problem is with your wifi router. Reboot the router to resolve the problem.

    receive and end calls

If I could answer by touching the screen buttons I'd be happy. NOTHING works. Calls cannot be answered using any of the Tesla controls.

    receive and end calls

I have had this same issue since the holiday update. There is no way to answer a call.

Any FSD beta NEW installs in the last four weeks?

I wonder if stuff that happens while in Valet mode dings one's score.

Any FSD beta NEW installs in the last four weeks?

I concur with the unenroll/enroll once you figure out you have to drive like your great-grandmother. I did it about three weeks ago and re-enroll after three days. I'm currently at 100. In my experience, if you get a forward collision warning, you might as well unenroll right then. No...

2 Month Tesla Owner - Fed up and Done

To me, it sounds as if you are dealing with a service center that is poorly managed or overwhelmed or both. There are a number of reasons why either could be the case but none of that makes it any easier to look past your problems. I will say that the Tesla buying and service experience is...

How are you liking update 2021.44.25.2?

These charging discrepancies - aren't they all just due to the fact that it's cold? That's what I have seen. I charge in a closed garage, but it's now only about 40 to 45 degrees. My 80‰ charge level is no longer 264 miles...its more like 247 miles. The battery cells don't have the same...

How are you liking update 2021.44.25.2?

I find the new layout easier to navigate, but mostly I'm happy because they addressed my biggest peeve and moved the Homelink button to the lower left of the screen where it should have been all along. And I don't think this is in the release notes but it seems the auto wiper is working much...

The unofficial "when do I get my FSD beta update" FAQ

I am amazed at all these scores of 100. To me, it seems I can't score over a 98 driving to the end of my driveway. Yesterday for a red light I allowed the regen to brake to a stop from about 37 mph - lifted my foot completely off the accelerator - and got dinged for hard braking. Any turn or...

Anyone else getting a "(EUNSPECIFIED) Host unreachable" from the app?

My problem was apparently due to my wifi network at home. I did a restart on our modem/router and the problem went away.

    Model Y Floor Mats

I have the 3D Max mats. I like the fact that they are lightweight and the color doesn't seem to oxidize to charcoal gray like rubber mats. On the downside, if you get some good old Ohio mud (read: clay) on them be prepared to do some scrubbing because the surface texture has all kinds of tiny...

Can I park the wipers in up position?

Ahh! That would seem to explain the whole issue. Thanks!

Anyone else getting a "(EUNSPECIFIED) Host unreachable" from the app?

Android (12) here as well. I turned off the wifi and was able to connect immediately. Once I turned wifi back on, I stayed connected. I dont understand how these things work, but I have seen other apps behave like this.

Anyone else getting a "(EUNSPECIFIED) Host unreachable" from the app?

Tried to open the app today and it asks me to sign in. When I enter credentials, I get "Failed to log in. Please try again later. (EUNSPECIFIED) Host unreachable. The failures in this app are getting to be pretty tiresome.

Can I park the wipers in up position?

If I read every warning in the owners manual I'd still be reading. Hey, they sit just fine in the lifted position now that I convinced the passenger wiper to come up. And since returning them to operational status requires the confirming step of turning service position off, it would be hard...

App is getting 500 server error. Cant connect.

What type of phoneare you all using? I cannot log into the app on my android 8.0 phone (even with multiple un/reinstalls and phone restarts) but on my wife's old iPhone I was able to install the app and log in with no problem.

Can I park the wipers in up position?

No matter what may be said for preheating or covering the windshield, for snow and ice my preference is to park the wipers off the windshield. I then find it much easier to clean the car properly (yes, I'm a tad fastidious about such things.) I like to preheat while I'm doing that; any car...

    Homelink control

Ahh. But Apple Car Play would resolve that, no?
  33. C

Can I park the wipers in up position?

The driver's wiper lifts off fine, BTW.
  34. C

Can I park the wipers in up position?

Preheating doesn't do too well on 4 inches of snow (unless you leave it running all night). It's just easier to clean the car if the wipers are put up when you leave the car. Maybe I'll see if I can modify the passenger wiper arm to allow it to be lifted up.
  35. C

Can I park the wipers in up position?

Thx, but sadly even in service mode the passenger wiper will not lift away from the windshield.
  36. C

Can I park the wipers in up position?

Now that the first snowfall of the season has hit, the critical question is this: is there any way to park the wipers in the "up" position so they can be folded away from the windshield while the car is parked? This is a pretty basic snowbelt defensive move.
  37. C

    Homelink control

Thx. Good suggestion. (But I still hope for voice control some day).

    Homelink control

Is anyone aware of a way to operate Homelink with either voice control or with one of the steering wheel buttons? As I share my garage with my spouse, I am reluctant to set up Auto open/close. The current placement of the Homelink control dropdown at the top right of the screen is about as...
