Wing Mirror Smashed Off- Model 3 Long Range (2021)

Hi all - had my M3 LR for 2 years now and love it. Unfortunately I left it on the road overnight and someone has hit the LHS of the car. Some scrapes on the wheel arch which a body shop will t-cut out. But the electric motor (and I assume the Wi-Fi receiver) is lunched. Makes an awful noise...

Anyone else done anything stupid when driving an ICE vehicle, now you are used to a Tesla?

Oh yeah. Put myself to shame there, didn't I? The handbrake is the one for me on my wife's X5. Driveway on an incline and it's only when I open the door that I realise I'm slowly rolling towards the garage doors.

Anyone else done anything stupid when driving an ICE vehicle, now you are used to a Tesla?

What am I missing on the wipers for reverse thing? My right stick is my 'gearstick' which I select D, N or R (or P if I press the end button). My left stalk is for indicators with the button on the end doing a single wipe / spray. Is there some shortcut to putting wipers on that saves...

    Driver Profile Issue

This. My assumption was that whichever phone was the one that unlocked the car would then be seen as the phone/key of the driver; and set the profile accordingly. Obviously the phone that unlocks the car (i.e. the key) has to be in very close proximity when unlocking... Won't even work if it's...

Car Seats for kids (sorry, not the most entertaining thread to close 2021).

OK so it seems that the Cybex does fit after all. They should really update their compatibility chart. Thanks for all of your assistance - Happy New Year to you all.

Car Seats for kids (sorry, not the most entertaining thread to close 2021).

This could be an option. Presumably the i-size base takes different size seats (i.e. newborn - 12 months & 12 months - 4 years etc)?

Car Seats for kids (sorry, not the most entertaining thread to close 2021).

it's a Cybex Base Z (I Size) that doesn't fit. There are a few compatibility checkers online that also suggest this is the case so I don't think it's me being a moron. The angle of the seat means that the ISOFIX clips cannot reach the fastening points on the car seat...

Car Seats for kids (sorry, not the most entertaining thread to close 2021).

Looking to hear what car seats folk here use. My wife isn't best pleased with me because she claims that I should have checked that the car seat base that fits in both her BMW and my old Macan would also fit the Tesla. Anyway; it doesn't because of the rake of the seats (means the ISOFIX clips...

OK that was easy - just push it. 24+ hours of charging time :-D

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Indeed - But I need to work out how to open the charging flap. Assume I don't need to tell the car that I'm charging it?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Thanks for that. Very useful - Do you log that in the app once it appears (i.e. I can probably book it in tomorrow)?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Thanks - I'll have a look when I'm done on this call. Assume you mean the big storage bin between the seats is where the USB-C should be? If not there do I just have to accept it or will Tesla fit it?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

So mine has arrived! Have only sat in it for 10 mins or so because I'm working put some points to note based on previous chat. 1. No green strip on numberplate. Not a big deal as mine will be going on my personal plates soon anyway. 2. I couldn't immediately get the wireless phone charging to...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Got my delivery text - 21st Dec. A few questions from a naïve first time EV buyer: 1. On delivery are there any specific things to check (panel gaps?). I assume it is very rare to reject a car on delviery. 2. My charger isn't going in until 18th Jan so will be charging off a 3 pin plug for a...

Solar Panels UK - is it worth it?

My house was built with 5 panels fitted flush with the roof tiles. Have never given them a second thought to be honest. Will the charger that is being installed tap off them automatically or does it need some form of electrical wizardry to achieve this?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Phoned Tesla today to see if they could give me a date for delivery. Asked for my RN (from the 'nearly there' text they sent) but was told they did not yet have a date. The lady I spoke to did say that she expected that it would be mid-Dec as they were not planning on delivering any cars at...

I've had the 'nearly here' message though have been told by Vanarama to expect delivery around 10th Jan. So not really sure what to believe. You mentioned that you spoke to Tesla regarding your car recently - do you mind me asking which number you contacted them on?

Also - A question on the centre caps that Tesla sell for the 18'' aero wheels... Seems that they're sold out on the Tesla website. Any idea where else I can get them?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

I just did my online thing today with pictures (and sketch :-D) today. No idea how long it will take. I went for the tethered one for £75 extra. Not sure if worth it?

    Model 3 Leasing UK

So for those following Vanarama news... I placed my order last week and today signed all the docs. One of these has my reg plate (plate is AK71...). Today I get a text from Tesla saying 'Your Tesla with ...... is nearly here!'. Now I'd previously been told by Vanarama that it would be mid Jan...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Interesting... They told me they had cars on order and due in Jan. It doesn't really matter if it's March for me. Live in Hampshire & planning to drive up to Heathrow to get Crossrail into The City. But with the latest Covid news I wonder if I'll be doing that before Spring anyway...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Thanks for the info... I'll research the charger. I'm a EV virgin so this is all very new to me. Do you have to switch your entire house over to Octopus for that (if it was still available). I'm wondering if my best option is just to get a charger that I can set the time and set it to charge...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

So I've taken the jump & taken a Vanarama lease on a black M3LR - Deal was around £480 for 4 years with 9 up front. Free home charger, free 1st year insurance & £250 cashback, for what it's worth. Some questions: - Home Charger - not sure which one Vanarama get. Does anyone know and is it any...

Hi all - Need some Tesla advice & have a few questions...

Interesting... I don't *think* my Firm offers the salary sacrifice option. That being said; my wife is setting up her own business so not sure what could be done there. Which are the best leasing companies? I know leasing not generally a great way to do things but I don't think residuals will...

Hi all - Need some Tesla advice & have a few questions...

Should set the scene first. Have had a Porsche Macan S for a couple of years on a PCP & with the used car market (and Porsche residuals), Porsche will now not stop trying to buy the thing off me - It's in a significant amount of positive equity. Anyway; I want to go electric with my next car and...
