    Ok, thanks. I just noticed that maximizing tire width per vehicle weight is usually a big help in slalom racing. What tires do typically people run in ASP? A052 or Hoosier A7?

    I was more thinking of maximizing performance in a slalom/autocross or even drag strip. I would not drive with such a soft and wide tire on the street anyway (reduced range and fast wear). (The torque advantage would be bigger here than with an ICE car because it only has one gear, so there...

    A052 is also available in 295/30 R18 (instead of 295/35 R18), why is this size not chosen? (Would give some gearing advantage).
