If you've selected lease as your method of payment, this is normal. The lease company effectively take over the car, although the RN number that you received is still the one that you quote if you contact Tesla about it.

Presumably the process is different if you select business lease through ALD. I've never received any texts from Tesla, but today I had an agreement to sign which had a registration number on it showing date of first registration in 2 days time. I guess that means the car is in the UK already? :)

Very jealous. My time line... October 25th - ordered on Tesla website November 3rd - Tesla called to sort out ALD lease Then.... nothing Called CS earlier this week to be told my car is still awaiting assignment. Apparently if it's not in the next two weeks, it will be February

I did the same, and got the same response. I ordered 25th Oct, CS called me on 30th to clarify payment menthod, which is lease through ALD. Had my £100 refunded on 3rd Nov and now waiting on a Dec delivery. I'm having a Tesla wall charger installed next week... hoping this is a good decision?
