    Canada - FSD rollout

I have more success in roundabouts by pressing the accelerator when I want it to go.. the steering is 'fine'... but the entry definitely waits to cut someone off.

MYP Towing Square Wheel Setup - prefer to go to 20's

Been looking through MANY threads, but can't seem to find a combined response. I'm looking to bail on the UberTurbine 21's, and go to a square setup, preferably 20"s. Factors are mostly ride quality, efficiency, and proper loading for towing. My winter setup is: Replika R241 Satin Black wheel...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Looks like a few more just got released? I swear the teslafi site said 22 waiting, then jumped up to 35.... will keep an eye out, and sentry on at home in the garage to keep the car awake!

No confidence driving the MYP in winter

Did you tell the car you put different size wheels/tires on? (In service menu) Might be calculating for the 21’s. my MYP with 19’s and Viking contacts is great in the snow. Chill mode helps, but no crazy pulling in any direction.

    Glowing Climate icon

Data point. After sitting at -20C overnight and asleep, the climate symbol was glowing. Couldn’t tell if it was pulling any current to keep the battery from freezing, as it is plugged in using the MC.

    Feet are frozen

My guess, quality issue at assembly. The cover was screwed on well (was actually pretty finicky to remove). And the seal around the hepa filters is a PITA to get back in without them sliding off/twisting as it is such a tight fit.

    Feet are frozen

All heat, airflow, and fog problems solved. Dry out those filters! 2h+ drive in -16C, zero issues to report.
  12. E

    Feet are frozen

Found the (a) problem... Took the hepa filters out (in the frunk) - they were soaking wet, thus clogged.... drying them out inside now - will report back

    Interior Moisture Problem

Here's some fun... if you read over on the Feet are frozen thread, you'll see my challenges with fog and no airflow unless on recirc. Took out the filters in the frunk (charcoal + hepa), and they are SOAKING WET - which is the likely cause. Trying to dry them out inside tonight.

    Feet are frozen

2021.44.30.7 allows auto mode with recirc mode on, which is an improvement. But in regular auto mode (recirc off) still get no airflow. Wonder if I should put in another service request (faulty damper?) or if it’s still a software thing…. Might take out the hepa to troubleshoot.

    Feet are frozen

Wonder about removing the HEPA filters in the winter, just to get proper flow until this issue is fixed....

Model Y Driver Side Footwell Heat

See this thread..My Feet Are Cold. Depending if you have a 22 with the HEPA filter, might need to put it in recirc mode to get enough circulation like I've had to do, until a software update comes out.
  19. E

    Feet are frozen

Update: After the SC visit today, they advised to set the climate to recirculate and all works as expected (but not in Auto). Apparently there is an issue with the HEPA filter and is limiting airflow, however might still be a software issue so sent all the notes to Tesla to hopefully be...

    Feet are frozen

Yup. I added them to hopefully speed up the visit on Wednesday.

    Feet are frozen

Did a test today in the garage (controlled ambient temp of 34F) - while plugged in, and at 75% SOC. Placed a digital thermometer (which I know is fairly accurate from another project) right beside the cabin temp sensor under the screen. I did not sit in the car (to avoid any false readings from...

Just got the 2021.44.30 - Anyone else in the GTA?

Not for me.... but I'm hoping my heat issue is a faulty cabin temp sensor. Reads ~10-20C lower than the actual temperature.... Car reports 30C inside in the app, it's actually 10C and turns the heat off. Doing a defrost (from the app) instantly brings a ton of heat... but doesn't when driving.
  23. E

    Feet are frozen

I'm ok with having to turn up the temp.. my problem is that it doesn't actually generate any more heat... I think it is the cabin temp sensor, as it was about 12C in the cabin, and in the app it shows 29C.... for awhile thought it may have been my warm phone charging in the wireless spot (the...

    Feet are frozen

Well, had an interesting drive home today with the climate control. About 160km, outside -8C. Avg speed, 95km/h. Latest 44.30 version from late last night. Had the climate set to manual, 27C or HI, all combinations of settings from a/c on, off, to all vent combinations. NONE warmed the car up...

    Feet are frozen

I’m in a similar boat, but my cabin is actually cold while reporting 25 deg C. Service appointment for Wednesday. Even on high heat, fan 10, and lower vents only, nearly no heat or airflow. Hopefully a software fix?

Interior reported temperature incorrectly high after windshield replacement

Not a windshield issue, but my interior temperature sensor is registering at least 10 degrees hot. I.e. have it set to 23C, but app says it's 23, but the actual temperature is like 10 deg C.... driving around cold. Going to try the reboot - but service appointment booked for Wednesday. Anyone...

    Canada Waiting Room

Picked up my MYP today! All good - but super foggy even with defrost on! Likely needs to be aired out and glass cleaned. Odd one was driving home, feet were quite cold with everything on auto... Hmm. Also, switch to the winter wheel right away, the uberturbines weren't on very tight at all...

Winter Tires in Toronto for Model Y

I ordered my kit from pmctire. Went with R241's, 19", VikingContact 7's, and TPMS - $3000 all in. Get my car after christmas, so haven't put them on yet.

    Cold Temperature Battery Maintenance

I’ll report back on my finding over the next few weeks. I get mine right after Christmas and will be parked outside up north through New Years. Plugged in of course. Hopefully some of the teslamate type tools will give me some of the data to understand what is going on.
  30. E

    Cold Temperature Battery Maintenance

Extended camp mode while plugged in could be interesting. Set it to a low temp inside? Might take some experimenting.
  31. E

    Cold Temperature Battery Maintenance

So ‘if’ it’s going to be -30 for a few days… precondition in the morning and go for a drive to heat it up… Or Start charging to a low % and increase it every day or so (to force heating and charging) Or Do nothing and precondition before you actually need to drive
  32. E

    Cold Temperature Battery Maintenance

Did a bunch of searching, reading, and didn't quite find an answer to this one. If I am parked outside in well below freezing weather for extended periods (eg. 3-4 days), plugged in - does the battery management system maintain the battery temperature to be 10 deg C (or warm), or does it just...
