    Mileage

Yeah miles aren't really a good indicator of range Leave it in percent and get comfortable knowing how far you can go. For example, after just few days, you'll know that "hey it takes me 15% one way to get to work", so now you know for work driving, leave at the very least 40% to account for a...

March 2022 - Tesla Model Y Increases price by $1,000

I'm sure all those people who are "waiting" for that Ryzen chip upgrade understood that it's not coming for free. MYP jumped in 4k in price in the last 4-5 months.

    Match factory tint

My take on to shade match the rears (which I believe are around 23% factory) White Interior =15% Black Interior = 20% You also have to remember the insane amount of light that comes into the front windshield and the top sunglass.

    Match factory tint

Are you in WA? I have never heard of this nor have EVER seen anyone do it. Thought this was an east coast thing.

What’s your main reason for buying a MYLR or MYP

I chose the P because I don't ever usually need the full charge and after test driving both the LR and the P at my SC, it was clear I wanted the P. I came from a M5 before a Tesla

Dr ColorChip - Has anyone used it?

How does the touchup paint blend with Deep Blue Metallic? Does anyone on here have experience using touchup paint on their Model Y? I have a '22 MYP with less than 3k miles and I have a good 5-6 small rock chips across the hood and 1-2 on the front bumper. I purposely drive far from trucks too...

    Bad tint job? Need advice

Hit up Tinting To Go in Kent, WA He did ceramic tint all around on my MYP and the front windshield. Fair prices and even fixed an issue I had with the tint drying. Super professional and good prices. Curious to know what shop did this job?

Who can Beat my Average Whr/mile? (Over life of Car)

PNW area (lots of cold weather, never driven above 50F) Average is about 350 over the 3k miles I've had the car. Hopefully I'll be able to get into the mid 250s when the summer heats starts kicking in.

Your MY front lip spoiler now...

Those lime green calipers look sick, works well to make it Seahawks themed! Quick question what tint percentage do you have on the front windows? I just got 15% and it looks similiar but I also did a 50% on the front windshield.

Anyone tried Nansure Read Splash Guards? (Looks like OEM Front Mud Flaps)

Oh the Nansure ones are sick, I didn't even see those when I purchased mine. I'm sure they work really well too. Not sure if i'd want them on the rear however, as the front ones already scrape the speed bump in my neighborhood.

Tesla Mudflaps for front. What are you all using for the back?

I thought this too until I started putting them on my cars and it actually makes a good bit of difference, especially during snow and heavy rain. That's why I only dropped like $20 on mine and figured if they were awful, I could return them on Amazon. I think it also adds a nice aesthetic in the...

Tesla Mudflaps for front. What are you all using for the back?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TQ7YTWC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Didn't see the need to justify the extra money on RallyArmors when the car should have came with it. Only installed the rears because the fronts already were installed OEM, and have held up great...

Anyone tried Nansure Read Splash Guards? (Looks like OEM Front Mud Flaps)

I installed these on my MYP within a week of having the car. I like how the front ones OEM are flexible so I only installed the rears and just kept the fronts in the trunk if ever need be, These fit great and took like 5 minutes to install, and have held up great to push snow, salt, etc off...

Model Y as a commuter on I95 in VA?

Headroom is way better on the Model Y, for reference I'm 6'2", and my head almost touches the top of the Model 3 backseat roof, whereas I got atleast 3-4 inches on the top and a full glass roof on the Model Y backseats (no divider in the roof like the Model 3). I wouldn't take 4 people the...

Model Y as a commuter on I95 in VA?

Model Y: Bigger, fits 5 comfortably if you take passengers 4x the cargo room of Model 3 Model 3: More affordable (51k vs 59k) Better handling and slightly better range than MY In either case, I would suggest installing a NEMA 14-50 or a Wall Charger at home, considering this is something...

    Model Y tint pictures

Looks great! I just got my Blue on White interior MYP, and I noticed you also have the white interior What percentage did you get the fronts at? Is that 20?

Swap Model Y Performance 21" Wheels with Long Range 20" Wheels

Yes 19 inch wheels on a MYP will work but I believe they have to be from T Sportline. I asked them and they said they make them specifically to clear the bigger brake calipers on the performance, and not all companies will do the same, but could just be hearsay.

All Season Upgrade: Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus

Great question! So I just put DWS06 on my X5 35i to frequent the mountains in the PNW and I'm happy to say it performs just as well as the Michelin AS4s that my Model Y Performance came with. You cant go wrong either way. Road noise and ride quality is about the same for the Continentals and...

Beautiful install, where is it tapped for power?

No confidence driving the MYP in winter

MYP with Michelin AS4s here. PNW region had a huge snow storm last week. Car performed flawlessly and for turns, just had to go extra wide and a big slower but experienced no loss of grip even at freeway speeds at 16F

    Front License plates

It's just aesthetics. The front plate was never really given a dedicated "notch" in the body panels to be placed, morose just looks like an afterthought but there's no doubt that running one will save you from parking tickets like another member mentioned and grumpy cops
  22. PacificPower

    Front License plates

My MYP came with a front license plate bracket that goes on with sticky double tided 3M tape instead of screws. I, like many, chose not to install it but I completely understand the point of running it and not giving officers another potential fine they can give you if you get pulled over. These...

Picture of your Model Y - Right Now!

This is crazy, I have the same Blue/White MYP spec ALSO delivered on Dec 22 in the PNW area. How has ownership been for you so far? I've only had the chance to put a couple hundred miles on it but it's been a blast and no factory flaws I've been able to notice.

That's awesome to here! I'm very excited for my delivery. Do you by chance have specific links for all the mods you got? I'm looking at your list and I think I'm going to buy all the exact same things.

    Washington State Waiting Room

I thought they're changing that policy because the rep told me if I defer my VIN to someone else, there's no guarantee you're not just going to the back of the line. Maybe they're just trying to move inventory for December quicker, who knows

    Washington State Waiting Room

Don't quote me on this because it's purely anectodal but I think the Performance Y's are being prioritied (over LR) pushed out quicker and everbody I've seen who's ordered a MYP in the last few months hasn't seen crazy changes in EDD.

    Washington State Waiting Room

Congrats! I literally have the same spec MYP Blue/White, picking up this week! I have to ask, did you test everything and find any issues? Paint, heating, panel gaps, sensors, charging, etc? Everything working fine or any issues from the factory? I wanna address them asap once I get mine.

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

You'll probably get the Michelins. Was just at the Renton SC a few days ago in the area and checked out the lot, all the MYP I saw luckily had the Michelins instead of the Pirellis. Employees are going to act dumb though, so don't bother getting any info from them.

New 21” MY Uberturbine + Pirelli set (Model Y/OEM)

In the same boat sortof, looking to see if the 21 to 19 conversion is worth it for the MYP. My only concern is long term wear on the drivetrain since OEM is staggered 255/275 as opposed to 19 inch square, hence the rear tires width/diameter being off by 2 and 7 percent, respectively.

    TPM Sensors

Hi everyone, first post on the forum and first Tesla 😁 I have a Model Y Performance coming next month I live in a rainier/colder climate of the PNW, and plan to reserve the 21" Uberturbine and P Zeros summer tires for when it gets warmer next year. I'm looking at getting a 2nd wheel/tire set...
