    Regen issue?

Yup understand. Appreciate the reality check. I did deviate a bit there. Again thanks. I sort of lost focus in regards the comment above “Just keep SOC at 55% if it works for you, and ignore it.”

    Regen issue?

Sorry but I may have read things wrong, but it seems to me that people are suggesting that a 50% reduction in range should be accepted as a solution, because the SC cannot help. That’s a bummer. My take would be the SC owes more support in the circumstances. I am unsure why such a compromise...

    Regen issue?

Very valid comment and my experience as well. Tesla SC are like a brick wall. But I would question why Tesla can’t use diagnostic outputs to evaluate and report on vehicle performance to customers. To provide comfort and confidence in their products. How do we know if one of our problems are...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Yes, I agree with everything you say. I have been to a service centre. The failure to stop on release of accelerator, physically clearly demonstrated. Vehicle kept coasting for 10’s of meters with foot clearly off the accelerator. They could not see anything wrong. They were of the opinion...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Ahh yeah! I appreciate the sentiment, but I am worn out at the moment. I need to rest and regroup. Need objective evidence. I am so so tired of testing, retesting, analysing, looking for new releases, hoping for a fix. I am just getting frustrated. Better to switch off for a while. I can...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Have been running the latest software release for a bit now 2022.44.3 No differences I am afraid. I cannot one peddle drive the car anywhere, on a mountain or the city. I would consider it way too dangerous. I am always hovering my foot over the brake peddle as soon as releasing the...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

This maybe of interest. I just noticed this clause on the Tesla service invoices. It’s part of the “ conditions “ clause at the bottom of the invoice. “Tesla, its affiliates and their respective employees may access, download and use the information stored on your vehicles data recorder to...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

The amount of data stored overall, I would guess depends on what is stored locally on the car, and what is stored at base, and for how long. Before and after views, I think would be an almost mandatory requirement for them to trouble shoot. With a set timeframe for storage. And I am thinking...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Today, watering my garden, a penny dropped. I believe I been goosed! I was thinking about the different analysis tools out there, I have been looking into them on the web a bit, and the Tessie/Teslafi apps and the output they can provide. So, I now must believe Tesla must have the same tools...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Thanks that is a very generous offer and very much appreciated. At the moment I am just thinking through the planning and testing. One suggestion I received was the latest software update may fix it, so may just wait and see. My aim is not to have a heavy conversation with Tesla. It gets me...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

I just realised I had posted my vehicle as M3LR in error - it should be M3SR(+) . Just checked the config in the Tesla app to be sure. I am totally, terribly and forever sorry and ‘embarrassed. I must have had the characters in my head somehow, and not their meaning. Totally dyslexic. Please...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Sorry . Rereading what I wrote I may have sounded a bit abrupt. It was just my bad typing. I edited it so it makes more sense..😊 The suggestion about driving similar vehicles is very good. I am now thinking of looking at ways to quantify what I feel. An objective vs subjective approach to...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Unfortunately I got the push back locally.. they checked it remotely, said that everything is OK and closed the service request. Thanks the dual vehicle matchup is a very good suggestion.

Yeah! I am think this is now a must have too, for most cars because of the digital interfaces. sort of like a tyre brace a long long time ago😉

Not to worry. I it looks I found the info, it’s an android app I gather, I will look into this further. Thank you very very much, this should be a great help.

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Yeah. Certainly sounds like something is wrong. My vehicle has little or no breaking effect as I lift of the accelerator.. if I lift of completely, and instantly, at any speed the vehicle just coasts. I always use “hold” setting. Yup! We have the green line thingy. Sometimes works better than...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

I have heard that even worn tyres can effect brake regeneration. So would guess your experience is consistent with this. I am still learning to navigate and need to be more specific and mention my car is a M3LR. But still interested if problem is not isolated to me. Helps me feel less paranoid 😃

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Very Interesting - I don’t know the road but I will look it up😊 but it sounds aggressive/demanding. I goofed and should have included my model and year M3LR 2021. Just for comparison are you running a model 3. I can’t even run along a straight road or a steep decline without using the foot...

🎶 have you lost that braking feeling 🎶 - Does your accelerator feel soft/dead when lifting your foot off.. way less aggressive braking than before - Do you need to use the brake peddle more and more - Has your average energy usage increased - Have you raised concerns/lodged service request with...

Brake regeneration - low to non existent

Mmmm I know about the dots. As I drive early morning in winter, and this I have learnt when regen is being limited by temperature. Our mornings in winter are cold but this winter it warmed up nicely by lunchtime, so I get to see the impact of temp on the same day. But you really have me...

Brake regeneration - low to non existent

Sorry! I need to clarify my previous comment. in OZ the the 80% was preferred charge level before the LFP batteries arrived.. then they recommended 100% “ at least once a week. I thought this pretty good, coz I did not need to worry about when it was best to use 100% or when not too 😄

Brake regeneration - low to non existent

Ahh I wish I had a choice in settings but our generation vehicle does not have it. We only have one setting the highest level of regen.. the one and only.. I am not sure but maybe Tesla is switching between the two modes to placate its customer base and I now have the low setting. And that is...

Brake regeneration - low to non existent

The video idea sounds really really good. Our vehicle has LFP batteries (understand Asia got them before US it was big thing when we picked up the vehicle) and we were advised it was recommended to have a 100% charge at least once a week whereas I understand 80% was preferred, so not sure about...
