A lot of folks seemed to recommend some PPF for Tesla's, especially the front ends. Im taking delivery (hopefully?) of a MYP in February/March timeframe. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on specific PPF's ( Xpel, 3M etc ) and recommendations for installers in the Chicago area...

I know this was an old post but I ran across it this morning. I am thinking about replacing the 21" uberturbines with some 19 or 20 in Tsportline wheels. They suggest an option of a 275/45R19 vs 255 to get better rim protection. You post was great as it gave the link to the tire size comparison...

Thanks for the reply and the comment about the narrower wheel for better rim protection. Tsportline website lists the option to go width a slightly wider tire 275/45R19 on the Model Y 9.5 in width wheels to get better rim protection. I'll have to ask them about that vs your solution. In any...
