FACTORY RESET DOES NOT PREVENT MIRRORS FROM OPENING RANDOMLY AT HOME IN THE GARAGE - 32 hours after the Factory Reset and less than 5 hours from my post above the mirrors randomly unfolded in the garage. I suspect we can rule out a Factory Reset as a remedy.

Were you able to correct the problem of the mirrors unfolding? If so, what did you do? My mirrors have been randomly unfolding in the garage for at least a couple of years. I thought software updates would correct the problem but not so far. I have a 2016SAP1MCU1 that I bought new in 2016...

Has anyone with an MCU2 experienced the problem of randomly folding mirrors? I am considering an upgrade on my 2016 90D Model S and wondering it the MCU2 solves the problem.

Did anyone find a solution to this problem. Tesla service said they verified the map software on my car is ok. I don't believe they actually reloaded the software, but rather verified it is not corrupt.

Same issue - I spoke with customer service yesterday they think it may be the map software which only uploads every two years. The map s/w in my car was last uploaded Nov 2020 about a years ago and the time I first noticed the problem. They suggested I make a request to have the map software...
