What portion of "monitor surroundings, and maintain control" is not clear?

All I know is that I have not received an update in over 2 months. I’m stuck on 10.2, which is pretty damn buggy. It likes to cross over into oncoming traffic, and cut cars off on left turns. I feel abandoned.

The left turn scenario is the one that baffles, and angers me the most. With more than ample time and space, it hesitates, or even just stops. Then, as you say, with a car bearing down, it will start the turn. At this point, how is stopping directly in the path of another car the best option?

Those damned horseless carriages will never catch on.

Tesla just refused to fix my cameras under warranty (they’d be happy to take $300 from me to do it). They said it’s not a defect. Does anyone know how to complain to Tesla?

I haven’t received it, and I was hoping for an update. 8.1 is not very good. It changed to a center lane coming up to a right turn. For some reason, it changed from one of two left turn lanes to the straight lane, when a left turn was less than 1,000 feet away, then was going to try the left...

Just installed my 10.8. With one trip it seems better. One thing that had been bugging me was my car insisting on getting into a right turn only lane, when I was heading straight. That didn't happen with 10.8. Only two ramps, but it didn't seem to slow down to a crawl on exit/entrance ramps...
