Here's a progress shot from this afternoon. The crew is just finishing the wiring on the switches. The transformer has been installed and they expect to be ready for Tesla to do the testing very soon.

Ocala's on line Tesla just threw the switch. Ocala's on line, although not officially. Guess I was the first one to charge. The charge rate seemed a bit slow, even though I had 163 miles remaining, I would have expected a faster charge rate. Still, it is now operational.

Checked this afternoon. Still no power. Doubt anyone will come out to flip the switch over the weekend.

Stopped by this afternoon. The transformer is powered. I can hear it humming. The electric meter is installed and powered. Only thing that is obviously missing are the parking signs and labeling the pedestals, (!A, 2A, 3A, etc). Tried to charge, but could not.

Progress continues. As of this afternoon, all the Tesla equipment appears to be on site. No sign of a power transformer or any primary feed yet. As there is limited close in restaurant parking, I predict this site will have serious icing issues during busy meal times.

Was in contact with the contractor. He reported that the testing took place today and went well. He is not sure if Tesla opened the site to the public yet, but it should be energized. The paving and line stripping should be wrapped up this afternoon.

I'd volunteer my car for a test, but I have no idea of who to contact with this info. Just need to be sure the SC is working to get enough juice to get back home ;-)
