    So… Highland is out…

I think if they left the stalks in in any market no one would have complained! Stupid hangover from the Yoke which hasn't proven to be much of a success. I love Tesla and would have definitely considered an upgrade to a Highland but at this point it's a dealbreaker. You cannot indicate or change...

    New Highland UK - stalks

I'm sure in your video upthread you are having to take your eyes off the road momentarily to look at the steering wheel, to know where the buttons are and then select?

    New Highland UK - stalks

A much better solution would be to use the right scroll wheel to swipe up or down when pressing the brake pedal to select gear in my view. To have to actively look at and touch the screen, when before you could select drive/reverse without hesitation is a poor implementation and regressive...

    So… Highland is out…

Yes this is the crux of it, they had to remove the stalks on the Model S when they came up with the Yoke. Had that car just kept the same concept of a wheel, then I doubt they'd ever come up with removing the stalks on subsequent models. Hopefully someday they'll realise their mistake (just as...

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

I was at Medway East services yesterday, didn't need to charge but the Superchargers look ready to go. There are also another 12 Gridserve chargers that are all powered on with the LCD screens on but are cordoned off for the moment...

    So… Highland is out…

Even with a wall in front of you it can still select drive instead of reverse. Admittedly I think this option is still in beta, but it does seem very risky. I think the lack of a front bumper camera (pictured on the initial press release photos) doesn't help... See 8m 18s in this video...

    So… Highland is out…

There's another Carwow video that seems to confirm my fears about this, the new gear selector being a PITA. See 13m41s... It's the second video I've seen where the use of the screen gear selector has nearly resulted in crashing into something. This is just on one test drive. It's almost...

    So… Highland is out…

Interesting video, whilst I see the removal of the indicator stalk to be a massive own goal, I think it's possible it could be adapted to for driving in normal conditions when not turning the wheel? Seeing as your hands are on the wheel already... Roundabouts are a another issue though... What...

    2023 Holiday Update

Ha, not at all... I mean it's a complete novelty act but adding the customising feature with multiple choices makes it more interesting...The Knight Rider light show is quite good fun. I still would have preferred an Apple Watch app though. Apple Podcasts does nothing for me, more likely to nod...

    2023 Holiday Update

I'm quite pleased about the multiple custom LightShows on a USB feature! I'd actually put that down on my wishlist. 2023 Holiday Update Wishlist Will be interesting how they implement multiple LightShows, as it needs to be named LightShow.fseq/wav in a folder, so how do you have multiple files...

    2023 Holiday Update Wishlist

    - Apple Watch App (This really would be good, can go to the gym or swimming and not have to carry phone/keycard) - Music player that remembers what music was playing from USB media after stopping the vehicle. Ridiculous such a long time basic error can be found in the software and hasn't been...

2022 UK Model Y - please help me to sort a solution for playing music from USB

Spotify is lossy audio just like MP3s (although they use the Ogg Vorbis codec instead). Mushy, compressed low quality audio equivalent to about 3-4 times lower than CD. The streamers are notorious for offering brickwalled masters as well. Spotify HIFI was supposed to be coming last year but...

UK 2022 Orders to Delivery inc the shipping thread for posts with no shipping news

Ha, yeah it would seem simpler, but Spotify is compressed audio. Same with Bluetooth. Better to listen in CD quality (or better!). I will check out the Tidal trial, although Tidal uses MQA for it's hi res stuff and I'd be surprised it there's a decoder on board? I am looking forward to trying...

Cool thanks. And another great tune to add thanks... I don't know how you can 'like' posts? Not sure I've posted enough for the privilege? Will post more once I get my Tesla. Ooh so exciting...

Oh yes, of course! Ok added - great tunes. I may have to drive around a bit more to finish the playlist but somehow I don't think it'll be a problem! PS that harbour pic is stunning! You can see the old Bank/Pizza Express in the background. Maybe I'll see you around driving in Kent...

Well it's finally here, Tesla Eve... 🎄 Picking up my Model 3 tomorrow at Bluewater. I'm in the Great Job 22 club. Ordered on the 25th November. Could've actually collected today but I thought it'd be really cool to get the 007 bus directly to Bluewater, and after 3 months I could handle an...

Yeah should notice if some activity happens and will update. Q2 will be good as the main outdoor food village will be open then. They have a nice looking pizza truck I could try whilst my car gets some of it's own juice. Faversham was a cool suggestion, thanks.

Yes looking at the map I would say that. There is plenty of space in the Macknade car park for quite a few Superchargers. Good to have one near the A2. I believe there's one possibly planned for Dover too? Here's some pics, no sign of any preparation yet...
