I think you can call your SA and do the switch. I was in the same situation but let the finance period expire before resubmitting another application.

On the positive side, the longer you wait, the higher chance to receive all upgrades. I ordered mine RWD in September at $39K. The car comes in with LFP and AMD chip. Waiting is not fun, I must say.

I almost gave up as well. Mine came in unexpectedly last week. I have too many EDD changes that I could not remember. I was without a car for 3 months and was ready to give up on Tesla. I paid extra for the 19" wheel and the white interior. That was perhaps a reason to get the car a bit faster...

Took delivery yesterday in Burbank, CA. The process was smooth. I was looking for common QA issues but it was so minimal. The car is great. Love driving it. After a long wait, it is worth it.

I think you will make the cut for Q1. Once you have a 2-week EDD window, the level of confidence is higher. Don't be surprised if you will get your VIN today or tomorrow. Good luck.

It is likely to be sooner for you. They just need to make sure that everyone is going through this emotional roller coaster. Patience is a must with this process. I don't know if I can go through this again when I buy my next car.

That's is a good sign. Mine just got narrowed to. It is now March 7-20. I was nearly hopeless before this last change.

Sometimes I think they just give answers we want to hear so that we have no further questions and end the conversation. Often they tell me that they will look for a car for me. That makes me feel like I was taken special care. It is a helpless process, after all.

When you call them, they should be able to let you know about the chip. Hope they let you get the car after your trip.

Not until you have the car, any surprises can happen. My new EDD is March 1-29 now. A Prius looks more attractive to me at this point. Haha

I'm back in the queue waiting. After many EDD changes, I was scheduled to get the car on Jan 17. On that day, I was informed that the car has damage on the front bumper. Was told (via text) that it will be replaced with a new one and the car will be ready on Jan 24. I scheduled another pickup...

The process was a stress test for me for sure. Just be prepared for the ups and downs. I hope to have my car delivered on Monday.

I was told that my car was built on 1/10 at Fremont. It has an Intel chip. I will take delivery this weekend.

It seems that every time we enter into an EDD window, we get a new window that is further away. I'm getting into my 4th window tomorrow and expect that it will move again.

I wonder if you chance the order, you will need to pay the new higher price. RWD are $5k more now.

Did you get your VIN within the EDD window or it came before you enter your EDD?

I think the longer you wait, the more upgrade you will have. Good that we have locked the price from last year.
