Agreed. I also read they do SXM over the Internet using LTE instead of via satellite. Cannot confirm this though. But it would explain the poor connection and constant drops as the car moves.

I tried calling Tesla support and my local service center. Both had no idea other then to be patient. The appointment will stick once they have it on hand.

My mobile appointment for 4/3 just moved to 4/17. They still don't have the wheel that I ordered. Still no ETA from Paramus service, Tesla support or Tesla shop. I've called, texted and emailed them all.

Had a major mechanical failure.

Got my car back today and return the loaner. Front motor and left and right half shaft assemblies fully replaced - no charge, all under warranty. My mobile service appointment to get the round wheel installed was moved to next aval, which is 4/3.

They took the car into "service mode" about an hour after they opened this morning. That a good sign. I was worried dropping it off without an appointment.

Overall after a few days, this firmware seems to be pretty stable. No issues at all. Rear screen seems to be fine so far. Hopefully it stays this way.

Based upon historical precedent, any idea when we might see this? Only had the car for about six weeks and my understanding is that number in the firmware version represents the week number. Which would put week 36 two weeks ago.

I spoke toooooooooo soon post 2022.24.5 software update. It’s back to cycling through the SXM stations in channel order not by favorites. smh.

Hi all, I just downloaded and installed new firmware update 2022.24.5 and it fixed how the steering wheel cycles through your SXM favorites. No more Ch 1, Ch 2, Ch 3 etc. etc. It now cycles through your SXM favorites upon choosing the next station. Excellent!

This is annoying to me too. Takes your hands off the yoke and takes two screen clicks to change between favorites. It’s very distracting and takes eyes off the road!

In NJ, fully electric vehicles are sales tax except. Probably one of the most generous state incentives out there. On this car, that saves over $6,300. Better then NY or CA, for sure. But if they didn't, you are right. I'd get my $1,500 back with a Tesla trade-in via the reduced sales tax.

Would second MountainView. I live in Wayne and they have been around almost 100 years. Just brought my wife's Cadillac there for some work and it came out real nice. Took 8 days to complete about $5k of non-insurance work, which I found to be a pretty reasonable on price and turnaround time.

I use NJM for insurance.... I just added the new VIN to my policy and uploaded the card in the Tesla app. ~$1,250 for the year with full coverage, $2k deductible, 100% clean record past 15 years. I think that is outstanding, but NJM will only take certain states and you need a clean record...
