Mine is a 2022 MYLR, August build, Sep 6th delivery and came from Fremont. It came with Matrix headlights and USS, but no cargo cover.

In my case I did my financing after I got my VIN and submitted the form my bank gave me. Then I got a bank teller check from my credit union for my down payment. When I went to pickup my car I gave them the bank teller check. Everything went very smoothly.

Yes. You’re correct. I knew that. Just forgot to add that in. My car from Fremont does have the matrix headlights and came with no problems. My MYLR is AWD. I think you’re meaning the MY, kind of like the standard.

I totally agree. I think the only thing that Austin has over Fremont is the 4680 battery and new battery pack. But I’m totally happy with what I have. After having mine since 8/6/2022, I’ve put over 1,400 miles on it. I’ve charged twice at a supercharger for costs of $8.00 and $9.75. The rest...

Being you're in TX, I would think that you would get an Austin build. However, I wanted an Austin build, but got a Fremont build. Couldn't be happier. Love the car, I'm so happy the wait is over.

My PPF installers said that if I called Tesla that they would come and put new emblems on my car. My installers didn’t even replace them. So I’ll see what they will charge me. Thanks on the suggestion for the license plate frame.

That's probably because of the EV credit.

The Xpel Fusion has a 10 year warranty. In about 4 years I’ll have the whole car re-ceramiced. My installer said it would cost me the same to only partial PPF and then add ceramic. So I decided I’d rather have full PPF protection with the ceramic already in it. Better protection in my mind.

The Xpel Fusion supposedly has the ceramic coating already infused in the PPF. So the whole car will be coated and they will then do the windows separately. Ceramic coating protects the paint while the PPF does the same but also protects the paint from scratches, etc, which ceramic doesn’t do.

I’m getting PPF with the Ceramic coating already applied to the PPF. Xpel Fusion. Then I’m just having all the windows ceramic coated. I decided to get the whole car PPF.

I used a supercharger in Lumberton, NC a week ago. $9.60 for 24 kWh. That’s $.40 per kWh. That’s close to my peak rate at home which is $.36. My off-peak is $.06 and my super off-peak is $.03, which is from 10pm to 5am. So that’s when I charge at home. That’s here in NC.

I don’t know which update started that. I updated yesterday to the 2022.28.1. So it could be that release. Didn’t check until today. Haven’t read anything about it in the release notes. But then not everything is put in the release notes.

The windows drop now, when you use the emergency release. Unlike before. I just went out and tried it.

My understanding is that the rear usb-c ports are for charging only. I forgot earlier there is a usb-a in the glovebox for the sentry and music.

My car just came from Fremont. It had the mobile charger in it which is why I didn’t get the code. There is no cargo cover. The sides don’t even have the ledges to put one on. My front console has 4 usb-c ports. 2 down in the console and 2 on the rear of the console by the back seat air vents...

Now that's interesting. Never heard of anyone getting that kind of text before, saying when their MY was going to be built. Maybe the complaints about people not knowing anything for months on end, reached someone's ears. I know they are trying hard to catch up now.

I think it probably would. But who really knows? Before I ordered my MYLR I was checking prices on used cars. Those with FSD were priced at or higher than brand new cars. Crazy. But anything you add to a car can be questionable as to it adding value. I think it will though.

Got a support call from Tesla at Raleigh. When I saw the call coming in my heart sank. 🥺I just knew they were going to delay my pick up. 😭But a recording said that they were calling to confirm my pick up tomorrow. Boy was I excited. 😃So everything is looking good so far. 👍

I don’t think you’re a fool at all. I think it’s the case of where it seems Tesla isn’t consistent. But there is also a lot of cases I’m sure where updates are dependent on WIFI. Maybe someone didn’t have WIFI available for the 2-3 weeks. I read where small updates can come over cellular data...

I think you’re right. Being a computer programmer I can certainly see this happening. It’s all a way of trying to keep the customers informed. But still it makes it kind of frustrating.

I don't think you can drive the cars on the beach anymore. Carolina Beach in Wilmington, I think is the only one that still allows that. But I can't say for sure as there was talk about stopping it totally.

He just said that the Service Centers don't stock them anymore. That I would need to order it online. I have a couple of friends in the area that have Teslas, so maybe I could borrow their MC until mine comes in, if I have to order it online. They have a wall connector.
