Just wanted to share I successfully got my cameras installed and I’m an Enhanced AP user. Don’t know how I got invited and whether intentional or not, but it worked out. Now if only they’d enable blindspot camera to legacy vehicles..

Ah that was the problem thanks. I assume I wait for the next update to have the RCCB config stick rather than ask the tech to apply it?

Quick question, could somebody double check these cameras for a 2016 Model X? I’m trying to cross reference them with the excel sheet for correct cameras but I’m not seeing some of the models (like the b pillar).

They have a new Sentry Live View shortcut for easy viewing for all eligible teslas today, I was hoping legacy vehicles could be added. Still nothing. Sigh

Perhaps the holiday update will bring features like Remote Sentry View or Blindspot to legacy vehicles with cameras updated and just forgo whatever new holiday features there will be. The circle of life

My hunch is absolutely but the inbox implies FSD capability owners only so it feels like a mistake. Even if I don’t get into FSD beta, I’m excited to get on the same update path again since radar and USS is pretty much done.

Ok I finally found a service center across the country willing to sell me the cameras but they quoted me $3700. Is it really that expensive?

I’ll try reaching out to others. Did you also have them install or mind sharing the price? I saw value might be around $800-1200

Unfortunately they refuse to sell them. 3rd party is even harder to source, but don’t really want to go that route either. I might splurge 15k later next year for access to the cameras and FSD Beta, but truthfully I wish I could’ve spent $200/month to get in.

Wow seems like a lot of people suddenly are getting invited for the camera upgrade. Sucks to be a subscriber rn lol. I can’t even offer to buy them.

Waiting to hear if HW4 cameras are retrofittable

Just saw the news of HW4 cameras, the plot thickens. This is interesting. As a non FSD owner, I’ll be paying regardless to upgrade. But I wonder if this will be retrofit compatible as I’ll likely wait to get on board with what’s new

I have, not much luck. I’d prefer to order from Tesla though. Have emailed a few service centers and waiting for a response. Hopefully not crazy expensive.

Tesla won’t sell me the parts (at least the local service centers) so I’m emailing some others. Any idea on how much the full set of new cameras cost?

That’s what I provided, a list of my specific parts. They said those are not available to order at this time and closed the service request. I could push back, but at this point I’m better off waiting I think. I did go back in this thread and see a few lucky souls managed to get a complimentary...

Ok they won’t let me buy them, I guess this lets me go to 24.8 while keeping radar. Maybe in the future they’ll have an upgrade path for non owners to want to transition to regular vision autopilot. That or maybe wider angle cams will be a retrofit option in a few years. Kinda bummed about it...

Yeah as of 2022.24.6 I believe. My radar is AP is “fine”, but I’m a little nervous going to vision only on the older cameras right now since the stack and everything they do is based on RCCB calibration and what not. That’s why I’d like to get a hurry on it, because it’s hitting normal AP soon...
