    Model Y UK Delivery

Yes, it's what they call 'back to invoice' GAP iirc.

    Insurance

Just went through quotes for my MY - for reference Direct Line online couldn't cope with the MY so had to phone them, they quoted ~£1,100 so went with Admiral in the end. One thing I did this time, which I have never tried (or felt the need to) in the past was actually enter my drivers licence...

Yeah, I'd be really interested in this too - don't suppose you have a before and after pics?? 👍

Car Colorizer Allows You to Customize The Looks of Your Tesla

<tongue-in-cheek>I thought all the junior devs were busy working on FSD</tongue-in-cheek> ;)

    Model Y UK Delivery

Thanks for the info, I didn't order too long after you and they told me the same about their pre-ordered stock - so fingers crossed for a date soon too!!

    Model Y UK Delivery

Oooh, that's exciting to hear - I'm still waiting for Zen to confirm dates. When did you order with them if you don't mind me asking?

I’d like a ‘dynamic creep’ mode

    Great, thanks for confirming 👍

I’d like a ‘dynamic creep’ mode

Yep, that's how the ID3 behaves - which I think works well, what's that mode on the Tesla then? Creep or Hold?

I’d like a ‘dynamic creep’ mode

I'd also be interested to know how the M3/Y behaves, as didn't really have a need/notice it on the test drive. I'm loaning an ID3 too at the moment, and noticed that this works in a pretty smart way - if you press the brake pedal gently when coming to a halt then auto-hold is not engaged and...

    Model Y UK Delivery

LOL - I'm totally with you! It can come on a '52' plate for all I care, so long as it has a parcel shelf. I started gently letting the wife know it might not be included and she was like, WTAF!?! Seriously hoping this 'stuttering reversing camera' I've read about is fixed too, or I'm in deep...

UK 2022 Orders to Delivery inc the shipping thread for posts with no shipping news

Congrats on the order - that's great to hear that they email you the RN, does that mean you can use the tricks in this thread to see VIN etc? I placed an order for the MY on the 17/01 👍

UK 2022 Orders to Delivery inc the shipping thread for posts with no shipping news

Thanks for the info, I feared as much 😢 Not sure I could cope with some of the ~9 month lead times I read elsewhere; 9 weeks is a killer for me!

UK 2022 Orders to Delivery inc the shipping thread for posts with no shipping news

I have an order for a lease (via Zen), and got all excited today when receiving an email from Tesla to set up my account. Links all looked kosher, and figured the lease company was setting this up on behalf, so completed the registration. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be anything of any use...

    Model Y lease Deals

Good luck with the search, I went with Zen in the end as that was the cheapest when I was looking. They are also offering a home charger install if that's something you need, but would need to move quickly as the grant for that stops soon.

Model Y Tesla direct Personal Contract Hire going to be available and good?

Hi Slydog, I was looking at a similar thing and ended up signing a MY lease with Zen, as that seemed to be the best deal at the time. I'm sure you've looked, but rather than p/x, I used WBAC which gave us a great price with the crazy used market at the moment. Good luck with your choice!

    Model 3 Servicing Costs UK

Many thanks for the additional info - good idea on the paper trail, will get something in writing from mine too!

    Model 3 Servicing Costs UK

Very interested in this too - when speccing my lease it was ~£40 a month extra, which didn't seem worth it with the ad-hoc recommendation from Tesla and no impact on warranty. Car hasn't arrived yet, so haven't got confirmation on what the lease company is expecting and therefore very...

pics of 19" vs 20" rims on the Y?

Thanks for the pics - I think those look really nice. As others have mentioned, 19" in darker colours do seem to work better as then contrast less with the tyre width.

Many thanks for the info - that's a great job, well worth the effort I would say. Just not sure I'd get as good results ;)

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

Very interesting thread, and special thanks for the chart on the load capabilities for each alloy. It did make me think also about the load ratings for tyres - having found the following chart, does that mean a index of 98 and higher to match the 750kg recommendation for the alloy load?

How do I like / dislike a post?

Many thanks for the info - I was wondering that too! Need to find some more posts to comment on now :)

Picture of your Model Y - Right Now!

Excuse my ignorance, but what are those alloys/covers? Are they different hub caps on the standard 19" alloys? I like the looks of those over the standard more silver look.
