    Coolant leak need help immediately

JB Weld is NEVER a good option when it comes to a car that you plan to use. It's great for kids toys etc. Best option would be to go to the parts catalog here : Parts Catalog and buy a new part and replace it.

    New AutoPark with USS

I too have been wondering about this. I have a '21 Plaid, I RARELY see the car offer to autopartk. When it does it's the old version. Obv, I have USS, Im hoping they offer the new autopark to USS cars eventually. I have FSD and it would be nice to have it get to a destination and park...

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

I live in SoCal, not too many 40-45 days, and the tires are summer tires, so they are not so much designed for such cold temps. In fact I believe they are not recommended for anything below 45, ever. Here's my best draggy 0-60, I have only done 5 in total on it though.

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

I have 20" PS4's, the PS4's have MUCH better tractions than the Pirelli's. maybe that's what you were feeling with the 21's. All of my passes I record my tire pressure, and my best hits were at 45psi (cold) for my 275/35/20's

Center horn retrofit for Model S

I was under the impression your wife drove your car with her nail file in the palm of her hand and managed to cause the yoke to peel? .....maybe that was another forum member? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Center horn retrofit for Model S

Mine was replaced for free due to peeling issue. Sept 2021 Build

MS Plaid Dragy Testing, Tires, Tire Pressure etc

You have traction issues on the bottom end. Your 60 ft's should be in the low 1.50's and your 1/8 mi should be close to 6.0 That dip in your graph right before your 2.59 0-60 was a loss of traction that realistically cost you about 5 10th's. Edit, this is what good traction looks like (only to...

    Yoke peeling

I heard 400 Sandpaper , or disposable nail file stick might work.

    Yoke peeling

Confirmed left/right on right scrollwheel does nothing while using TACC
  12. Muzzman1

    Yoke peeling

The TSB only mentions peeling. I would imagine you have to pay otherwise.
  13. Muzzman1

    Yoke peeling

My car is FSD, so I dont usually use TACC, but next drive I will check for you.

    Yoke peeling

It happened that I had an appt today for a squeaky seat, (resolved) and @WilliamG mentioned to me on last friday about the new yoke TSB, so I messaged my SC about it. They had it in stock and were able to install it today. (same day service) Woot! It feels like it has maybe 1mm less...

Square 20" wheel setup for refresh Model S - what do I need to know?

They are 20x10 +35 TSW Nurbugring. I believe they are discontinued, but if you can find them, i got them for $350 ea, in 2021 and they are lighter than the stock 19's. Im very very happy with them.

Square 20" wheel setup for refresh Model S - what do I need to know?

I have 20x10 square with 275/35 PS4son my Plaid. It ET's better than most. Im #15 on worldwide Draggy 1/8 mi and I have not lightened the car in any way. Over all efficiency with 30k on the clock is 306wh/mi and I drive it like I stole it.

    Model S Refresh Dash Removal/Lift?

Found it! Doesn't look easy, but better than the "dash". They call it the instrument panel.
  20. Muzzman1

    Model S Refresh Dash Removal/Lift?

I dont. That's all I could find in the service manual when I had access to it. I can't seem to get access back unfortunately. Edit, I do actually still have access, so can you. https://service.tesla.com/en-US/vehicle-models/ModelS and login. I can't seem to find just the pad specifically.

    Model S Refresh Dash Removal/Lift?

It is ridiculously difficult. Here's the service guide for it

    2021 Plaid is very slow

This is not true. The driveline on plaid remains unchanged since inception. If you want to make bold statements as such, back them up with some proof.
  23. Muzzman1

    2021 Plaid is very slow

Im not sure about the exact numbers when cold, but it has been tested that the car is sill a 10sec car in the 1/4mi at 20%, which is significantly quicker than a performance model 3

2021+ Model S and Model S Plaid Refresh Issues Thread

SMS over satellite isn't quite 300mbps, but yeah. I mean in Elon time we will have mobile phones to satellite in 2050. Mind you I believe they've sent up 2 satellites that do SMS over Tmobile, so yeah, we are well on our way to eliminate that 22lb box 🙄

2021+ Model S and Model S Plaid Refresh Issues Thread

Worth every red cent. It actually can be priceless in the right situation. Imagine when Lahaina was burned down. No cell no connection to the real world. A friend had one and connected 100s of people to their loved ones within 5 mins of turning it on.

Check out roamsat.com It actually CAN exist everywhere. I have one, and I was in a crazy remote part of Borneo and was getting 300mbps without any issues.

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Then it must not bother you that much then. If it were me and the "new" vibration was "annoying af!" I would do everything possible to see if I can eliminate it. But, that's just me I guess. You can stop whining about it now since "you can't be bothered". 🤣🤣🤣

Swivel screen successfully retrofitted into my 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid

My Plaid is flat and my wife's X is tilting. We leave her in flat too. Just never got around to tilting it on hers so that I would be pissed that mine doesn't tilt. 🤣

Acoustic Spectrum Factory 21” T2 PS4S With Foam vs. 20” Track Package PS4S Without Foam

Im interested to know if you had the Road noise reduction on with the sound system? I too have 20" non acoustic foam PS4S on my plaid now for 30k miles, and from the 19"'s I remember they were much louder, but that was back in Aug 2021. I recently installed a new set of PS4's, and they...

Ideal Aftermarket Audio System for Model S

Honestly, if I were you I would only get the amp. I paid $1750 for the Amp/4 speakers, and they were paltry. Although they were Gen 1. But I would stick the amp in and see how you like it. Upgrade from there. Im sure there's better speaker options that their overpriced drivers. Their sub...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Yeah I agree, I recently put a new set of PS4's on my 20's that had about 28k on them. (I only changed them cause under hard accel, they were spinning) but they had another 3-4k left on them. I digress, but the vibration is SO much better/gone. When i drive through the speed where...

Ideal Aftermarket Audio System for Model S

They've had a "sub" since the advent of the Amp back in 2015 or so. Back then the sub sucked. Bad. They went so far as to send me 3 iterations of their "sub" and they all sucked. I was one of the 1st customers of the amp/sub. I strongly recommend skipping their driver.
  38. Muzzman1

Ideal Aftermarket Audio System for Model S

Try reaching out to SoundQubed and see if they have a direct replacement. I've long sold that car/sub etc and moved to a Plaid. I initially installed that probably back in 2016.

    2016 Model S 90D accident

Find a similar car that's for sale, get them to pay for the new car as a replacement, and you get a new (used) car! Use the Tesla inventory site for reference.

    Swap out 2014 model s tires/wheels with 2023 model s aero tires/wheels

They are inset 1" more then the original wheels, so the best method would be to measure how much space you have from your existing wheel to the inside suspension links and see if you have more then 27mm, cause if not, then the wheel will not fit on the car and he would be stuck with a wheel set...

    Swap out 2014 model s tires/wheels with 2023 model s aero tires/wheels

They will physically not fit. The Refresh cars have a 4" wider rear body to accommodate the different offset and wider wheels. In the Pic below, Orange is the refresh wheel/tire.

Plaids with 20" tires AND rear inner tire wear?

I with they would make my size 275//35/30 with the foam as well. I definetly heard the difference the moment I put on my 20's from the factory wheels back in 2021

2022 Tesla Model S LR HV battery replacement

When I took delivery of my plaid it started out with a unusually low range. At about 1800mi it finally gave the unable to charge to 100% message, at which point a new pack was installed. (I have a friend that's a service manager and confirmed it was in fact new) This was Oct 2021, when...

Plaids with 20" tires AND rear inner tire wear?

The only timslips in the 1/4 was bracket racing so I didnt use lauch mode. On the foot brake it went 9.40's @151. 6.1@120 in the 1/8. Im sure it would be a 9.20 something at 152 or so with launch mode.
