I asked that same question and my SA told me they can simply drop the car off at your address. Doesn't really give you the opportunity to inspect before accepting so I don't know how issues get resolved should you discover later

Baltimore here, same config except 5 seater. I got that same text last week. Today window shifted to May 24 - June 07. Seems we will get a vin once a car with our config is available.

My EDD just bumped to May 24 - June 7 this morning.

I just hit may EDD range today (5/3 - 5/31) and no change. I'll let you know when something changes.

I'm in the Balt/DC area here as well. EDD is May 3- 31. Got a text from Tesla yesterday asking if I had a trade-in (nope). They said they will reach out once a vin matching my config. is available. So, perhaps we are getting close.
