It's frustrating.. the big name insurers don't even know what ppf is. I've heard LV will insure vehicles with PPF but they don't have the MY on their system yet. Guy on the phone said they update monthly so they should have it on their system in March.

What makes Direct Line's attitude to PPF even stupider is that the Model Y comes with some PPF already on it from manufacturer. It's just a dumb blanket policy.

RE: the rear window double pane discussion. The VIN for the black MY test vehicle is shown in the last picture with the screen. It’s a 2021 model (M in the 10th position of the VIN). New UK MYs will be 2022 models (N in the 10th position of the VIN) so may still have double pane rear windows.

Just had my dates offered, was originally estimated from 26th - 12th March and just now offered 8th, 9th or 10th for collection from Bluewater. Grey, white, 20”. The 8th it is!
