The Model 3 RWD are going to Hertz first & they have priority right now they get 100k by the end of 2022 with an option to purchase 100k more. That’s why we see the white interiors showing up for delivery more often… my theory is Hertz doesn’t want to pay a premium for upgrades…. I could be wrong 😑

Quick update took delivery 246xxx old premium headlights- put in a work order to change to Global Matrix headlights… service called and canceled my appointment, per service department unable to retrofit due to harness & hardware change. Would only replace if current premium lights not working...

It could be a situation where the buyer is willing to take any configuration - I told my SA I'm open to any configuration as well... I'll take LFP, NCA, or Duracell batteries Matrix headlights, old headlights, or no headlights.... AMD, Intel, or Casio.... We'll see if this helps my chances

That was a loophole they don’t allow anymore- what was happening is people were adding FSD and then canceling once they got a VIN…

I was debating the same thing to change to LR - until my delivery day got moved up last week. Tesla seems to be prioritizing the LR over the SR… That said I do want the LFP battery for longevity/charging/safety reasons. The short answer though is if you need the car sooner you may be better off...

The quick answer is yes if you need the car sooner the LR wait time per Reddit is 2-3 months, while the SR/RWD is hovering around 5-8 months in what I’ve read. However, per the reports from today Tesla is supposed to bump production dramatically this year by 50-60%… So it’s a bit of a guesstimate

It seems like the newest VIN's to be issued so far are November, the rest are from August - October. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong. I hope there's more VIN's coming, I was debating on switching to a LR based on the numbers.... I think for now I'm waiting for more updates - Here's hoping...

Some positive news: Received message prepare for delivery 3/31/22 Opted for trade in to Tesla was equivalent to CarMax, Shift, and Vroom. EDD: 4/30 - 6/4 (RWD - MSM/ Black/ 18"/ No FSD)

I completely agree, I’ve been getting better quotes on my current car from Vroom & Shift. They are offering 2-3k more… Hopefully the delivery comes soon 👍
